We stayed in a value twin room (no.4) The good first:- friendly person who booked us in (didn't see any other staff members). The room was clean as was the bedding, the pillows were very good quality, access was unlimited, tea and coffee were provided, the bathroom was compact but serviceable. The price was fairly cheap at £47 so we didn't expect luxury The downsides:- check in was late compared to most hotels (4pm), the room was very small, the beds were oddly bouncy and were difficult to get out of or turn over in without risking tipping out. The remote control for the small TV had no back on and the batteries kept falling out. When the remote worked we couldn't acess many channels even some of the main terrestial ones. There was no information in the room either about the hotel or local facilities, not even emergency numbers. Due to the nearness of the sink to the toilet, whenever you got too close it set the noisy macerator off. There was no hairdryer or bedside lamp and the two chairs were very uncomfortable. The parking is limited and pot luck. There wasn't a great deal to do in the village and though we were invited we aren't great pub goers so maybe we would have liked it better if we were. This may seem pernickety but all we expected was a quiet night (which it was) and a good comfortable sleep (I was awake at 5.20 after a rough nights' sleep) with perhaps an internet code and a lamp. We left early. Food was not available, as we knew but we got a good value breakfast at the Morrisons supermarket down the road. Sorry to say we won't be back.
