Six Senses Fort Barwara

We were met by the sweet smile of Sahil who was our GM for the short stay and who had already arranged our spa times and activities for our stay at the six senses Surrounded by tiny streets with the hustle and bustle of an Indian rural village is an old fort that has been magnificently restored and designed and our two nights there were life changing. We highly recommend the gemstone spiritual journey and silver talisman making led by Ivanka - it opens your heart and mind in a way you cannot imagine. Followed by the healing acupuncturist Dr Ashish Dev who used the knowledge passed on by ivanka to heal us of any emotional and physical pain in our bodies . Both were transformational . We started the journey with a mindful session the evening we arrived and followed that by waking up to yoga with a wonderful teacher whose name I sadly forgot to write down but i can still hear her voice in my head slowing me down and letting me let go. Our spa treatments were also amazing and the food was the best we have experienced . We met someone who told us now you have found six senses there is no going back - plan to seek this experience again and again in the farthest corners of the earth. It's a real journey of self discovery.

We had a quick stay after a wedding and did one safari round at the national park. The property is beautiful, the service great and the food was perfect. We ran out of time to try the spa unfortunately but it also looked splendid. The room (suite) was a good mix of technology, safari / fort decor and indoor / outdoor spaces to relax with a very comfortable bed! Our assigned concierge, Sahil, was incredibly courteous and on top of every detail on our visit. He even checked in on us on his day off to make sure our airport shuttle was to our liking. Can’t recommend more if you’re looking for a bit of a more private way of enjoying Ranthambore and its surroundings. Wish we could’ve stayed a couple days longer!
