We loved our few days at I Il Capricorno. The building and rooms are interesting and well decorated with a collection of local alpine furniture and objects as well as original works of art and fun slightly kitsch ceramics. The bathrooms had modern fittings and everything worked well- good pressure and lots of hot water. The linens were crisp and white and the rooms were cleaned and looked after very well. The lounge was welcoming and beautifully decorated with more lovely antique furniture, objects and paintings. The restaurant food was fabulous wether it was diner or the amazing breakfast. A magical and charming place hidden away but made even more special by the wonderful, friendly and dedicated team of staff.

Fantastic view! Sun is warming terrace nicely. Massimo was wonderful and warm host! A true Italian gentleman. One of the best bear I have ever drank! Hot chocolate was very aswell, traditionally made from real chocolate. One of the best moment in my holiday!

Eric the manager could not have done more. Amazing. The food is great . Best we had in the area. Stayed here with my son and friends. Needs a skidoo to get to town. But an amazing spot with amazing people. For ski in ski out its amazing . Great job Well done

Having never skied in Italy before, it was with some trepidation that we booked a week in Sauze. We were let down by poor snow, but the hotel was faultless. The hotel is traditional and full of character, with wood everywhere, twenties ski memorabilia and a zodiac theme throughout. While the rooms were rustic, the bathrooms were modern with fast, hot showers, heated mirrors, and Acqua di Parma. Situated right on the slope, the view through the windows of sun rising on the mountains was stunning. The sumptuous lounge, with log burner and deep, comfy sofas, was the perfect place to relax in the evening, and have Nico bring drinks and nibbles. But it was the service that will stay longest in the memory. Enrico has assembled a friendly and welcoming staff for whom nothing was too much trouble. We really were treated like VIPs. Breakfasts were varied and delicious, while dinner was fantastic and of a high standard. People say that the food in Italian ski resorts is way better than in France and I would have to agree. Attention to detail was high and we all felt thoroughly spoiled. While the snow this season in Sauze was patchy, the welcome and service from Il Capricorno was deep and consistent.

Great place and amazing food! You can ski without caring about anything because Olga, Luca and the super team will deal with everything for you. Super and professional service with the fundamental Italian touch. Truly recommended! Valentina and Alessandro

"UNA TRISTE STORIA" oggi vi raccontiamo una storia: SIAMO PRODUTTORI DI RISO a GIUGNO 2022 veniamo contattati direttamente dallo chef dell'albergo pluristellato, ci contatta entusiasto di voler acquistare il riso RISO CARNAROLI per poterlo cucinare nel ristorante attiguo, ovviamente ad un prezzo dedicato come per tutti i ristoranti che noi forniamo. Ci prende un po' alla sprovvista, giugno è stato un mese delicato per noi, dovuto al grande lutto che ci ha colpiti, ma ci rimbocchiamo le maniche, tiriamo fuori un sorriso e torniamo all'opera, entusiaste di questa richiesta! 01 LUGLIO 2022 prepariamo l'ordine, emettiamo fattura, la quale insistevano avessero già saldato, eppure il bonifico non era stato accreditato (ci vorranno i soliti 2 giorni di valuta pensavamo noi...), SPEDIAMO IL RISO DIRETTAMENTE ALL'HOTEL, ricevuto tutto il giorno dopo. 15 SETTEMBRE 2022, scocciate, che dopo vari tentativi questo benedetto bonifico non era ancora stato fatto, ci impuntiamo cercando di venire a capo di qualcosa: ESITO NEGATIVO, anzi ci bloccano in ogni posto cosi non possiamo più telefonare. 11 OTTOBRE 2022, ULTIMA SPIAGGIA, riusciamo a parlare con qualcuno, ovviamente con l'unico cellulare che non conoscevano e di conseguenza non avevano ancora bloccato... E indovinate un po? ci raccontano che a settembre l'hotel aveva cambiato gestione e bla bla bla, che lo chef era una persona poco raccomandabile, che era stato cacciato dalla gestione dell'hotel, e che era solito questo MODUS OPERANDI: acquistava per casa sua però faceva intestare le fatture all'azienda, chiudiamo la chiamata speranzosi che qualcuno avrebbe pagato il conto e che ci avrebbe richiamato in giornata. STAMATTINA: ieri ovviamente non ci ha chiamato nessuno, anzi, stamattina ore 8.30 abbiamo telefonato noi con nessun successo. Dopo un'oretta ci richiamano, LA FATTURA NON VE LA PAGHIAMO PERCHE' NON CI AVETE FIRMATO L'INCARICO, e lo chef non può fare direttamente gli ordini ma dovete passare dall'amministrazione (VI RICORDO CHE CI HANNO CONTATTATO LORO A GIUGNO) VOLETE SAPERE L'IMPORTO DELLA FATTURA? 60 EURO, SESSANTA! Ora, tornando a noi, non sono i 60 € che ci fanno arrabbiare, MA LA MANCANZA DI RISPETTO, LA POCA PROFESSIONALITA', LA PRESA IN GIRO PER ESSERCI FIDATE. Siamo certe che il nostro riso era OTTIMO, poi aggratis era ancora più buono!
