Hotel Kallisto

One of the best hotels I have ever been!! It was very clean and the location was excellent!! In addition,the view was spectacular!! The people we met were very kind and heartwarming!!! In particular, Mr Antonis the owner, Mr Drosos and Mrs Adel at reception and Mrs Enisa who brought us the breakfast. They were very helpful Definitely, it was an amazing experience and they gave us all to of reasons to go back! Thank you!

Four stars...and let me tell you why. I went on my revenge-after-the-pandemic travel to visit Santorini, Athens and Rome as a solo traveler in late October 2022. I stayed in Santorini for 2 nights only. My experience with the staff deserves five stars. Maria (if she still works there), removed the little issues (friction) in my trip. Prior to arriving, I was communicating with Hotel Kallisto staff that I was arriving by plane and departing by ferry to Piraeus. They arranged for taxi service for me. On arrival, the taxi was waiting for me at the airport. Upon getting to the street where the hotel gate/entrance was slightly hidden away from on a steep hill (Imerovigli is on the highest point of the island), Maria was waiting on the curb, and she took my luggage and welcomed me. On check in she told me about the features to keep in mind, reminded me to drink only bottled water, and escorted me to my room. I spent the rest of the afternoon walking around streets of Imerovigli, burning my calves in the process but proving my heart could still take it. This was one of this bucket list locations, and I walked around unbelieving at times that I was in the midst of scenery I had only seen in movies and photos. I took off one star because of something in the room. As you can see in the photo, my room was right outside a pool. When I opened the bathroom, the strong scent of, I would like say, chlorine emanated from the toilet bowl. It was not sewage, it was chemical, which made me think chlorine was running through water tank serving the toilets. It was noticeable that I kept the bathroom closed at night. As I was staying only for 2 nights, I didn't make a fuss to request a transfer to another room. I spent the following day on a day tour, and when I returned, my room was cleaned but the window above the toilet was open, which makes me think housekeeping caught the scent as well. After I returned from my day tour, I didn't have enough time to visit the capital city, Fira, and the archeological museum. I told Maria my predicament that my taxi arrives at 11 AM to take me to the ferry port, would I have time to visit Fira for a short while to get souvenirs. Maria solved my issue (removing friction in industry terms). She said she will ask the taxi to pick me up early at 8:30 AM, drop me in Fira to visit the museum and shop around, and pick me up at 11 AM. The taxi driver, a woman, drops me in the middle of Fira, telling me to leave my luggage with her while she takes a break and will pick me up. Told me not to worry. As a Californian who knows of many victims of car break-ins in the city, that was a leap of faith. But I got out of the car with only my handbag, visited the museum first thing at 9 AM, got out an hour later, walked around main street, bought souvenirs, enjoyed a late breakfast and walked back to the spot we agreed. The driver was there. My hats off...to Maria and the driver. I am a solo traveler who has to save up for an annual trave

Clean rooms in a good location. However the stay is ruined by the terrible staff. The receptionist who works the afternoon shift together with the guy who brings breakfast and deals with the pool are so rude and obnoxious. They seem happiest when telling the customers off. Try your luck somewhere else in Imerovigli.

Kallisto Hotel was perfect for our family of four with amazing views and friendly staff who were always keen to help. It is in a quiet location but with many restaurants within a 5-10min walk… highly recommended!

We’re just closing a fabulous one week stay at Kallisto. A week in Imerovigli is in the long side according to what people say, but we’ve had a truly relaxing week and eaten at different places each evening. The hotel is in a fantastic location and overlooking the caldera, truly breathtaking when you see the view for the first time. We had two maisonette rooms for ourselves ans the children. These are quite spacious with the bed located upstairs, not ideal for someone with restricted mobility, but perfectly fine otherwise. Spotlessly clean and nicely decorated, a lot of care and attention clearly goes into the maintenance of the place. Not a large hotel by any means, maybe only 7 or 8 suites. The pool area is also lovely and was right outside our front doors; never overcrowded with fighting for loungers. I read a comment somewhere regarding the small bathrooms, this is true but also not an issue as it’s only used for showering and toilet. Breakfast is served to you either in room or out on the terrace. You simply ask the staff to prepare it and it arrives by tray service ten minutes later. There is no restaurant on site so you can expect to be served eggs, bacon, fruits, breads, spreads. The content changes subtlety every few days, really delicious and not an issue that self service is not an option. Looking around over the other hotels then this tray service delivery appears to be a very common theme. All staff excellent. A shout out to all of them - Drosos, cleaning lady, bar / pool manager and all the back room team, thank you for making our stay so wonderful. We loved Imerovigli and we loved your hospitality. Excellent hotel, the common areas are spacious. We believed this hotel is one of the biggest common area in Imerovigli. Spectacular view, tremendous service, breakfast was delicious. This hotel is located in a point close to everything. 20 minutes from the airport. 20 minutes from OIA if you like to take a catamaran trip to see the sunset, it's worth it. Fira is close by walking distance from the hotel, where the nightlife is concentrated. You can take the bus for 2.50 euros and it is worth it because it is fast and has all the stops you need. We went to Mykonos on the fast ferry without a reservation. We arrive at the port and for 80 euros per person you arrive in approximately in 3 hours in Mykonos. The staff and Kallisto Hotel seemed excellent to us ❤️ From Miami 🙏

The rooms are spacious and have a great view. Placed in a location that you could walk to enjoy the city by walking or transportation. Service was great as well.

Staff was incredible. Super helpful and extremely polite. Breakfast was amazing. Hotel was charming and had an amazing view. Would recommend for others.
