Check in and check out was a smooth and quick process and staff gave us amazing recommendations for food and beaches to visit on the island. This resort is absolutely amazing! The staff are nothing but helpful and friendly, the pool, rooms and breakfast are all incredible. The view from the resort alone would make you want to go back! We were given transportation recommendations/ things to do. Which was a great touch. We would definitely be back!! Thank you Christos and staff for your hospitality!

Flew home today after staying 10 days here in Fira. Could not have picked a better hotel. The location, the staff and cleanliness was outstanding. When checking in the staff introduce themself and tell you a little bit about the island, trips and buses etc. If you need a taxi they will arrange for one to come to the front door and also if you wish to hire a quad or buggy (at no extra cost). Any queries regarding bookings at any restaurants etc they will call them to sort it out. Breakfasts in the mornings changed every day and there was always a good selection. The staff cannot do enough for you wether it is management or the cleaners. The location is perfect with a 10 min walk to fira centre and at day and night has a calm chilled atmosphere. If your thinking of booking here dont think just book it, its an amazing place to stay. Thanks to Christos, Margarita, Maria, Elly and Marcy for helping to make this the best holiday we have ever been on. We will be back one day for sure! 😊

We wanted to visit Santorini because it’s one of the few islands in Greece that we hadn’t been to. Having recently retired we wanted to have a relaxing break. CALLIA Retreat did not disappoint. We really couldn’t fault it. Firstly it’s situated in a quiet location but only about 10 mins walk from the main square that offers you shops, bar’s & restaurants. With stunning views & sunsets. (Parea was a favourite restaurant) The bus terminal is 15 mins walk away just through the town with air conditioned coaches, which we used to visit Perissa Beach & Oia town. Perissa is a nice change of scenery but be careful getting in the sea it’s very rocky. Oia was good to see but extremely busy. We much preferred Fira. Our accommodation was an adequate size with a comfortable bed with plenty of hot water and nicely positioned next to the pool. The pool & sunbeds are fabulous. The pool & all areas are kept spotlessly clean but it does get a bit slippery around the pool when it’s wet. The staff were always on hand to offer help & advice. A special thank you to Ellie who looked after us all day from serving breakfast, drinks around the pool and lunch. She works very hard & always has a smile. Thank you all for a lovely break. We would definitely recommend a stay here.

Our stay at callia was fantastic in every way. We arranged an airport pickup through them. The driver was there on time, and he was great. We contacted him several times throughout our stay and he was always available to pick us up or drop us off within 10 minutes. The young woman who checked us in was wonderfully nice and knowledgeable. our room was on the 2nd floor and christos was kind enough to help us with our luggage. the room was simple and spacious with a great ocean facing corner balcony. Their pool area is beautiful and relaxing. Breakfast varies daily and has something for everyone. The women working breakfast each day are helpful and hard-working. Everyone at this hotel will assist you with anything you need; impeccable service all around. I believe the personal service is one of their best qualities! I was very happy with the location. It is just far away enough from the main part of Fira where it is loud and busy. If you can’t walk uphill, I would advise setting up a cab through the hotel to take you to the middle of Fira. All in all, we had a fantastic stay with no problems whatsoever and would definitely stay at Callia when we return to Santorini!

This hotel was very nice and in a good location close to Fira. We enjoyed the facilities and the pool and views were beautiful. We booked a junior suite and the room itself was very small and felt crammed, so for next time I would book a larger room. It was also about a 10 minute walk all uphill to get into Fira city centre so if walking is an issue this might not be the best place to stay. The room was clean and the breakfast was good in the morning.

This hotel’s website is misleading. It says the property is “steps away” from central Fira. Actually it is a 15 minute uphill walk on busy streets with few or no sidewalks much of the way. It’s hazardous enough during the day - we would not venture the walk after dark. The property is nice but not worthy of the superlatives that other reviewers have given. I wonder if many of these reviews are bogus. There is one restaurant located at an adjacent hotel, but no others that are safely walkable. The lack of safe walking access made our stay disappointing.

This place is amazing, do yourself a favour and book it! From the spotlessly clean rooms, incredible views, sparkling pool and amazing varied, tasty breakfast the hospitality is what shone the most! I ended up in hospital unfortunately while staying there and Christos and Margherita went above and beyond for me. Personally picking me up from hospital and organising a driver the next day as well. They personally checked on me and made sure I was comfortable and asked if I needed anything. I will never forget their kindness and generosity. If ever I’m back in Santorini I Willy only EVER stay at Callia Retreat.
