Globales Pionero

We are 9 nights in on our 11 night holiday. Last year we stayed in the Santa Ponsa park and this year we are on the other side. I find it amazing that previous guests are happy to leave such negative reviews, perhaps they have forgotten that this is a hotel that falls into the lower range price range. The staff : Amazing, these guys work all day and most of the evening, they serve drinks or food for 12 hours and they are still smiling at the end of the day.... Fantastic imo. The food : There is AT LEAST 10 different mains every single night, so far we have has pork. Steaks, curry, lamb chops, fried chicken, fish (6 different types) roast chicken, spaghetti, meatballs... The list is endless. In addition uou have all the salad you could ever wish for and a massive selection of sweets. I really do wonder how people can complain about this. Sun Beds: Big changes this year, large new sunbathing area which has added around 90 poolside sunbeds, 2 overflow areas on the terrace, hotels been full but 9.00am has been fine all week to bag a bed. Location : Perfect for beach, bars and busses. Cleaning: Spotless Rooms : Large and cleaned every single day. And.... Fried bread for breakfast... Yum yum. Fantastic value, well done to all the owners and staff. Complaints ( has to be one doesn't there). Why the hell does the man who frys the eggs flip them and just leave them upside down forever? By the time he puts them on the serving section they are destroyed and no one wants them. They end up cold an un appetising. Just flip over easy!

Busy hotel we went 7th to 14th April lot of spanish was here... The food can't complain bit for everyone's liking One day they had corneto cones put you own ice cream on and treats on top went well especially for kids.. They had natcho with cheese etc.. If you want your food hot like my husband does these a microwave.. The stir fry is very tasty... There was one day towels were put on sunbeds early..manager and staff removed them rolled them up put on table...due to the fact some people were going out all day and coming back late to yous the sunloungers... Plenty of beds on top of terrace We went on bus to palmnova only €3 each and port anthrax €9each It's a lovely hotel but there's always the minority who do not respect to keep the noise down.. But any problems just ring reception and security is there to sort it Entertainment on ever night Plastic cups during day But evenings it nice wine in nice glasses It's a lovely clean hotel our room was cleaned everday We would definitely come back Thanks to staff making us welcome and been helpful 👏👏👏👏

Rude staff food not good 2 star at most needs new management bèen lots of of 4 star this is no way 4 star if you want decent food and nice staff go somewhere else would not return spending good money and not happy I need another holiday to get over this waste of money

Nice and clean hotel. Good breakfast and Dinner restaurant. Clean buffet Area. Nice staff. Room cleaning Good. Clean rooms. Nice pool Area and relaxing Area. Fine Bar Area fine and with a Good selection. Good hotel for cycling holiday and training

This was my 1st holiday abroad. We didn't take any notice of negative posts as we make our own . The hotel was clean,all staff were friendly. The plastic glass was not a problem for us,as we understood the reason. Food and restaurant staff all great, plenty of options for main meals and the pizzeria on a evening was great . Will definitely be back soon

Pleasant hotel, lovely staff, clean. Food pretty good but bit monotonous. Good location. 10 minutes or so walk to the beach with glorious views. Thoroughly enjoyed our week. Be ready for lots of kids running riot at their nightly disco but apart from that, would recommend as a good choice 😉

We arrived and were meant to stay across the road but it closed cause it was out season and we go upgraded to this sister hotel. It was a blessing really for us. The hotel is big, spotless, massive bedrooms which all have balconies, large TV, mini fridge free to use, massive bathroom with a good power shower, comfy beds. The staff are super friendly and helpful a real treat to the hotel. Plenty of sunbeds but It was out of season which suited us for our end of year holiday. Beside the beach which is beautiful, loads of shops, bars etc. Great area. Food is absolutely fantastic we all loved the food. The all inclusive is great they don't limit you and you can have as many as you want day and night. Entertainment was more geared for children but then it was bingo nighly which got the time in. The lady who took the games was fantastic she was a real star. We would absolutely return again out of season for a relaxing break. Thanks to all the staff. Also all the guest were really friendly and we all got along great.

All things considered we had a good holiday at the TUI SUNEO Santa Ponsa; our room was in the Pionero building. I would return for the entertainment and location, but not until the all-inclusive package food has been improved. Entertainment: fantastic. Most evenings had bought in entertainers. Further, the Santa Ponsa Park and the Pionero buildings had separate programmes (and possibly the SP Beach but we didn’t try it) so you had a choice of which act to see each night. Location: excellent, being right in the centre of Santa Ponsa. Everything you need is between 10 and 20 minutes walk. Food: so-so. In the restaurant everything was overly salted, and the meal plan was quite limited and seemed to be on just a three day rota, so there was a lot of repetition over our 11 night stay. The food really lets this place down and should be improved. This is such a shame because the snack bar was really good, however this facility doesn’t excuse serving poor food in the restaurants. We started eating out a lot in the second half of our holiday. Drinks: I found the cups policy annoying and inconvenient; fortunately this is just for the daytime. Water - if you want a drink of water once the bar has shut then you will struggle as there are no fountains around the hotel, only vending machines charging €2.50 for a 500ml bottle! A 1.5 litre bottle in the shop across the street is €1! I feel this reflects very poorly on the hotel as water is a basic necessity. Maintenance: the headboard fell down in the middle of the night and could have collapsed on us, with the electrics sparking which was dangerous. The headboard was attached to the wall by only two small hooks which is negligent in my opinion. We reported to reception at 1300 and went out for the afternoon. On returning at 1800 nothing had been done and we reported again, this time marked “Urgent” on the system, but still nothing happened while we got ready for dinner. Reported to reception at 2000, this time the receptionist looked visibly frustrated and said he would phone the maintenance man directly. The issue was finally fixed around 2200! What if we wanted an early night?

Will duplicate this in the tui suneo santa ponsa comments as that’s what we booked online. Hmmm where do I start……pro’s first. It was cheap so yes had no great expectations……that’s it. Cons. Queued for ages to check in @ Pionero ,guests being split between Santa ponsa park and Pionero. Felt sorry for elderly guests having to walk thru hotel, then across pool sunbathing area, followed by santa ponsa parks pool/sunbathing area and into that hotel. We were in Pionero. One receptionist, paying local tax, safe key hire and towel hire. Non of the staff happy /friendly/ spoke….I made sure I at least said hello to everyone. Room ok as we had extra room (free) with a sofa bed. 6 coat hangers (some had 3) but hey they as no dress code so guests wore their beach attire / flip flops even in the evening. Why have a full length mirror 12 inches in front of the toilet? There were loads of blank walls in the bedroom! Bottom sheet just sat on the bed as wasn’t wide enough to tuck in. Aircon useless……but you can pay to hire a fan. Restaurant queue to get in was rediculous! Herding ppl with the use of walkie talkies and hand waving. Therefore queue at ‘hot” food station was also way too long. The already luke warm food was cold by the time you got to the end, picking up items on the way. We stuck mainly to salads. Entertainment not brilliant, ok if you had kids and don’t mind them screaming and running around. We have NEVER joined the sunbed rush on a morning to get a favourite place but here unless you join the queue you don’t get a sunbed at all! I counted 110 sunbeds, 15 umbrellas. How does that work with 800 or so guests? The “big pool” full of kids and noisy but too shallow to swim anyway as it’s only waist deep , I kept banging my toes. Thank goodness we were only there 5 days.
