Un posto perfetto per riposare. Il cibo è molto buono, colazione abbondante, la vista incredibile.

Hotel is beautiful and the view is amazing. The beach area was spectacular. The front desk messed up a few times with check in which was delayed 4 hours and then they called a taxi for us on the wrong day. And then the next day they called the taxi 20 minutes late which made us late to our tour

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Continental this May. The staff was welcoming, friendly, and very accommodating with requests. Great location in Santa Margherita and a nice walk for visiting Portofino. The parking was very easy with the hotel valet. I would definitely stay here again.

We booked months in advance a triple room in this hotel for three days event with my wife and our 8yo daughter. Looking at the pictures on their website, we were expecting a nice, or at least decent room, especially given the price (600€+ per night). What we got is a small roadside worn-out room, with tiny plastic shower in need of renovation (see pictures). When prompted, the reception was useless at providing us with alternative options, and the room cleaning service and amenities turned out to be minimal, with not even a complementary bottle of water for the night! At this price tag, this is highly disappointing. Sure, the location is great and it is probably a charming hotel if you got the right room, but for us it was a total rip-off for what we got. We will be back in Santa Margherita for the OndaClassica, but never again in this hotel!

A beautiful setting overlooking the Santa Margherita Ligure harbor. We had a lovely patio to stretch out and watch the fishing boats, water taxis, sailing lessons and sailboat races. The hotel was nice, but not updated to the 21st century — no room service and no accessible refrigerator. (Yes, there is a refrigerator, but also a sharp warning that guests are not allowed to remove the hotel items inside the fridge and use it for their own stuff.) Be warned: The hotel is up a very steep hill from train station and from main area of SML.

We spent three nights at this hotel at the entrance to Santa Margherita, with great views of the bay and city from a deluxe room with sea view. Our car was safely stowed away on arrival, and we did all our exploration of the area on foot, ferry and train. The concierge had booked restaurants in Portofino and Genova at our request, wich provided great atmosphere and local cuisine. The hotel beach area offered relaxation after a day of sightseeing. All staff were very friendly and attentive. Recommended!

We had a deluxe room with the sea view and it was absolutely amazing. The staff is awesome, everything was done quickly and efficiently. Excellent breakfast.

Attention, if you want to charge an electric car! It is not possible through the Hotel. They only have an external system from Enit, where you need to download an extra App, create an extra account, insert your credit card and so on. The Hotel Manager was not willing to help at all and very unfriendly.

We stayed here as part of my Italian birthday celebration. The property is very charming with stunning sea views. Our room had a wonderful sea view with a large balcony. All of the hotel staff were very pleasant and welcoming. On my birthday, the hotel and restaurant staff helped my husband surprise me with a beautiful bouquet of flowers and champagne during breakfast. They also had a nice buffet of breakfast items to choose from, along with coffee, juices, bottled waters and espresso. My husband booked a massage for us and although they didn’t offer a couples massage, we were able to make separate appointments and enjoyed our deep tissue massages. With the help of the hotel staff, we got directions and information for places we wanted to visit. We were able to walk into town to nearby restaurants. We also walked to the train station for a day trip to Cinque Terre. We weren’t able to swim in the ocean because of the inclement weather during our stay but definitely will return here when we’re back during warmer weather. We would recommend this hotel to those visiting the Italian riviera.
