포르테 빌리지 리조트 - 일 카스텔로(Forte Village Resort - Il Castello)

Just returned from our wonderful holiday at the forte village resort hotel Castello, from the moment we arrived to the day we sadly had to leave, everything was perfect, they even arranged a surprise birthday cake for my wife on arrival. Although in our half board package we had the option to dine at several restaurants, the food was so good in the main buffet restaurant we decided to eat there each evening, the food was varied, fresh and so imaginative, definitely the best buffet selection we have come across. Everywhere was spotless, and clean , the children had so much to keep them happy we hardly saw them, they did everything from tennis including a lesson from a pro, football, rugby, pool, karting and obviously swimming, they really were in their element, whilst we had romantic walks on the beach, a massage in the spa or relaxed by the pool. But the thing that really stood out was the staff, every single one you came in contact with could not have been more helpful, especially Cesare, he became like our own wine waiter for the week and was a true professional. I could go on but suffice to say we are already planning our return and we never go back to the same place twice but here is something special and we are definitely going back as soon as we can. so glad we have found it.

Amazing luxurious holiday . On arrival we were upgraded for my mums birthday to the castello. And WOW we were delighted . The food, service the location on the beach is amazing . A very safe and friendly resort. We managed to get a local bus to visit Pula right outside the main entrance and worth a visit albeit a little quiet. We booked through @justsardinia and they were amazing . We were so grateful the sun shone all week

With all its rough and seasoned edges and wonderful Sardinian hospitality, both Sardinia and Forte Village proved to be the holiday we really hoped for - it exceeded our expectations. We originally booked to stay at Hotel Pineta, one of the hotels within the Forte Village resort but were greeted with a very warm welcome and the news that we were being upgraded to Hotel Il Castello. We weren't sure what to think really as it was a late night arrival but we needn't have worried. Arriving through to the front gate, it was clear that Forte Village is an enclosed and exclusive environment - very safe for kids to roam freely (more on this shortly). We were ushered to the main reception, where they took our suitcases & bag then took us by buggy to the hotel they had upgraded us to. The reception service was always excellent, very warm and genuine. We were introduced to a rather special individual called Mr Marcello Spiga, the GM of Il Castello. My goodness, he's good and his story is heartwarming where he's been with Forte Village for over 30 years and worked up all the way from the watersports team on the beach to General Manager. He loves it. The way he looked after us, paying special attention to our children, was just awesome. Given it was our first time at the resort, he went out the way to make us a programme of restaurants through our stay to make sure we experienced much of what the resort had to offer. A special thanks to Marcello for everything you do for us - you really made the difference. With buggies whisking through the resort, you can take one at anytime to get to your destination or just, like we did, enjoy a nice walk through the different parts of the resort. Activities: so many to choose from. We probably experience 5% of what was to offer. Go-karting, the sports facilities open 24/7 (3G football pitches with balls always available to boot around), basketball, outdoor bar area with big screen showing sports through the day, sports academy, sports partnerships with Legend (Austin Healy and Will Greenwood's company) and Real Madrid....I mean, I could keep on typing. We got our sun in on the rugby camp. Our daughter loved the kids club and Barbie Academy. Facilities: pools were great, beach was what you've expect, we ended up rinsing and repeating pretty much through our whole holiday with bar and restaurant for lunch. One thing I would note: this resort does like their extras. Be very clear on what is included and not included in your stay as the bill does build up quite quickly. We stayed on Half-Board so figure that much of our stay would be covered but realised at the end that we had consumed :) a lot of chargeable items. That's on us - perhaps just lost in translation but a top tip. It didn't taint our stay. In summary: if you're looking for an island destination, a domestic flight away (if you're based in Europe), with fantastic facilities you could not use in totality by the end of your holiday if you tried, with terrific

The place is wonderful with long white beach, the staff is so kind and ready to meet any request and the talassotherapy is unique, try it after a relaxing massage! I really suggest it wheter you go alone, with friends and family and in any season!

We enjoyed our stay very much. The staff is incredible and all issues are taken care of very swiftly. Il Castello is a very well managed hotel and we will gladly come back. The gardens of the hotel are astonishing with many old grown trees. There are so many activities you can do that everyone in the family will have plenty of fun.

We have just had a wonderful 10 night stay at Il Castello Hotel in the Forte Village resort. It's a large resort, but feels secluded, as it is beautifully set in amongst trees and flowering shrubs. The resort has something for everyone. We enjoyed the well supervised pools & beautiful beach. Some shopping, coffee at the patisserie, the fitness centre (with a very well equipped gym) and the spa. In the evening before dinner, we sat outside enjoying lovely wines at the wine bar, or cocktails in the Il Castello bar. The food & service were excellent in all the restaurants. We had many of our meals in La Dune; excellent fine dining, impeccable service and a sea view! I have Coeliac disease & was worried that I wouldn't be able to relax about the food. I needn't have worried, as all the staff were very well informed and I had a great choice of delicious food. Best gluten free pizza I've ever had in the pizzeria at lunchtime! The staff in every area of the resort have the wonderful balance of being professional, attentive and friendly. We were so well looked after throughout our stay and felt very sad to leave everyone!
