Hotel Món Sant Benet

The WiFi was very slow and the room was not clean. The pillowcases were very dirty. The bar also opened at 5 pm, yet the chefs didn’t begin working until 6 pm.

We arrived here after completing the Camino Ignaciano. We mainly chose this hotel because they agreed to store our rental e-bikes until the rental company shipper could pick them up. The hotel is in beautiful grounds and the room was spacious and modern. The restaurant was good for dinner and breakfast. Overall though we paid way more for food and stay here than we did anywhere else besides the hotel room in the heart of Barcelona.

Restaurants closed, bar closed, bar food closed. Only soft drinks available via reception. Had to head into village for dinner and the restaurant offering was of poor quality.

Excellent check-in. Too much noise between rooms. We had a deluxe room, but couldn’t really understand what was deluxe about it. Restaurant good but pricy. No kettle or paper tissues in rooms. Attractive gardens. Monestry visit is well worth it. Overall, expensive for Spain.

Well kept and decent size rooms, shaded parking coveniently located, quiet area and close to trails.

The experience which sticks most in our memories is nearly losing our passports; they fell out of a pocket, while we were leaving. Luckily the lady who checked us out spotted this and brought these to our car. That stands for all our contacts with Hotel Mon's staff; alert, helpful, efficient and friendly. Also fluent English speakers. The gin and tonics we enjoyed in the superbly designed lounge overlooking the monastery are the next most memorable items: never have we seen such large/heavy goblets, containing about twice the normal contents. Only one of those necessary before dinner. Both dinner and breakfast were very good: for breakfast, full marks for frying eggs to order, and providing freshly squeezed orange juice and Cava. The standards are very high in this hotel, as shown by the care and attention, and training of the staff. Just a couple of *******; the restaurant was not open at lunchtime, and we couldn't get a twin room with an easy to access shower; we were offered such a room, but it was fully equipped for mobility impaired guests, which we didn't need/want. The shower in the bath was what we got instead. In praise of the room, it was modern, spacious and comfortable: plenty of wardrobe space.

Great check in and out. Think we above the resultant so noisy. Restaurant was a bit disappointing - Left waiting whilst manager worked out table plan. Seemed to be consistent with later diners - no need for it. We were clear on allergies when ordering but ignored. Thank goodness waiter (excellent) caught it as he was putting plate down.

We stopped at this hotel on our way to Andorra and it was a find. The rooms are magnificent and if we had time we would have stayed an extra night. The chef in the restaurant looked as if if he had a a three rosette establishment. The preparation was superb and the food historic. His soup de langoustine with rice is a must have.
