Isaiah Jones Homestead Bed and Breakfast

Bob has done a great job renovating this beautiful property. The common areas are very comfortable with new decor yet they maintain the cape cod feeling which is so desirable. The new landscaping is looking beautiful and fresh! The breakfasts were delicious and Bob answered our many questions. He was there to help us but never intrusive. The town is charming and there are many good restaurants nearby.

It is getting harder and harder to find bed-and-breakfasts with hot breakfasts. The last few we’ve gone to involved instructions to go find yourself a muffin in the kitchen then get out. Isaiah Jones Homestead is a well run B&B with a very pleasant communal sitting area, spacious rooms with high ceilings, basic bathrooms, yummy hot buffet breakfasts, and nice hosts. It is perfectly located in the picturesque town of Sandwich, walking distance to shops, restaurants, historic homes and the glass museum. It’s a short drive to Heritage Gardens and museums, and a long walk or a short drive to the boardwalk. We had a lovely time. It has central air conditioning too! And while in Sandwich, don’t miss the fish hatchery - it’s a hoot!!

Wonderfully exotic breakfast treats like poached pears or blueberries and lychee nuts. Deep conversations, agreeable surroundings and everywhere a sense of history. Don't miss dinner at The Belfry or the glassblowing demonstration just down the street.

Cute vintage styled Bed and Breakfast. It’s very old, so it’s understandable that not everything is going to be in the best condition. The rooms were good and clean and the bed was comfy, but an area of improvement would be the dining experience. A few days, the mugs the coffee was served in were dirty and had floating debris in there, the forks had visible rust, we had ants in the jelly on the table, and the creamer was curdled. The food itself was delightful, but the lack of cleanliness made it hard to truly enjoy it because I always had to double check that the serve ware was clean and that the ants didn’t crawl into the food. The location of the property is idyllic. I’m glad we had this experience but I am not sure I would be back.

Our stay 3 night stay here has been marvelous! The house is beautiful, with lovely antiques and furnishings through the house. Plus, both of our rooms had very comfortable bedding. We enjoyed our time in the parlor, looking at the photographs and reading of the home’s history, while sipping the tea and coffee that is always available. The highlights continued with the wonderful 3-course breakfasts! Eric, the host, has had culinary training and every morning was a delight-from homemade scones and muffins to delicious egg dishes and a scrumptious take on French toast! We have been delighted with this stay, and hope to return sometime in the future.
