코로나 델 마르(Corona del Mar)

If you're looking for a hotel on the beach that is affordable, modest and has impeccable customer service, this is the place for you. It's privately located at the end of the island. Island divers is steps away from the hotel, providing many day activities on the water. If you're looking for a bougie 5 star hotel, this is NOT for you, but if you're looking for something that is quaint, and clean and where the people are kind......this is it. We had a ferry situation this stay, and the staff immediately jumped in to assist. We couldn't be more grateful. 2nd stay. Will always choose here.

Belize is expensive, so if you'd rather spend your money on snorkeling or SCUBA, save by booking a room at Corona del Mar. Very clean, big bed, huge room, A/C & ceiling fan. The room had a microwave, bar fridge, and coffee maker so you can buy groceries and save even more money. Also a small security lockbox. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. You can book excursions right at the desk. Free coffee and water in the lobby. Small pool, but very nice. Beach chairs under big palm trees. Soft sand. The ocean is accessible by some slippery stairs down from the sea wall. Shallow water. There is a dive shop right out front, but I found it to be more expensive than other options. (I personally did snorkel trips with Searious Adventures.) I was disappointed with the food at the on-site restaurant but I only went once. Other guests said they had nice meals there. Weird thing is that the TV didn't have cable, just YouTube, Tubi, and you could log on to your Netflix account. There is a small bar across the road that had loud music and karaoke on the weekends. It's also a restaurant but I didn't eat there. It's about a 15-minute walk into the center of San Pedro town. Faster if you rent a golf cart. Walking along the beach is nicer than the road.

I am not to sure where to start on this!! Corona is like family to me!! To the amazing staff, amazing views, charm, and just the real feel of Belize!! I have been coming to Corona since the early 2000!! It never disappoints!! I am now a travel agent and I bring my own groups here!! They are welcoming accommodating! It’s not your typical hotel but for us it’s great! Miss. Lopez and the staff work hard to make sure you are always happy! And all the staff always has a smile on their face!! Thomas and Cruz the night security is amazing too!! You will always get a smile! My son got engaged to his fiancé and now we will be back to celebrate a Belize wedding!! They have been so helpful in the process! You’re missing out if you don’t give them a try!!

Several things didn’t work reliably, including the electric outlets and hot water. The bar is loud. The beach area/water has a lot of trash.

We enjoyed the people, very friendly. Yet, what is shown on the ******* is not what we found. The stay was nice, and we enjoyed ourselves. Photos are deceiving .

The front desk staff was amazing. They were helpful and went above and beyond. The rooms can use some work. The could use updating of furniture and paint except for the mattress which was excellent. The pool had no chairs around it and could use painting as well. The beach area was decent although there were only 8-10 chairs and 3 hammocks. We had a top floor room and the WiFi barely reached our room making it hard to get on line.

The hotel and pool are “loved.” It isn’t a new and pristine establishment. That said, what amazing service! Friendly and knowledgeable. Always reliable. It has charm! We were on a budget and very happy with our decision to stay at Hotel Corona Del Mar. Beautiful beach (we even got massages on the beach!), the attached bar and restaurant was convenient but not one of our favorites. Room was cleaned daily, sheets always smelled fresh. We loved having a full kitchen to help us keep costs down. They do laundry for a small fee. The vibe was comfortable and welcoming. Really, just charming!!!!

Was just there a night and price was right and service was exceptional. Especially Orelia at the front desk. I needed to drop off luggage early to go babysit and she not only let me do this she got me in early, even to a upgraded room, and in the morning was able to watch my luggage again after checkout as had more children to take care of. It made my stay.

Easy check in. Very clean room. Comfortable bed . Nice bar with very attentive bar tenders. Felt very safe and comfortable
