라 테라차 데 산후안(La Terraza de San Juan)

This hotel is in an excellent location but that’s all it has. The place was not well taken care of. The bar is closed. To change the temp for the AC you need to call downstairs and they then have to go to your room in person to use their remote to change the temp. Apparently people steal the remotes. The bathrooms were dirty and smelled like pee :( They dont even provide tissue paper, or a trash bin in the room. The place has a drip coffee maker but no coffee is provided. It also has a range oven, but no microwave oven. The place gets really dark in the evening.

This is not my first stay, sadly this time my room had mold on the bed linens and on the bathroom ceiling. I notified the hotel staff.

This hotel is lovely and room was very spacious and comfortable. Only issues we had was there was no remote to our AC but they were nice enough to leave us a fan and that was perfect. The views from the rooftop and balcony is beautiful and the staff was very kind.

Check in is strictly at 3pm not earlier even if the room is available. Lighting very dim without windows. Remote for air conditioning is held by staff and need to call them to adjust. Breakfast not always available.

Situated perfectly in Old Town San Juan. Great view of the city from the rooftop. Excellent value based on what we spent. I would certainly recommend this property to my friends and family.

Quaint historic property- minimalist modernization but breathtaking roof deck pool and views. Staff professional and pleasant. Great walking interests - quick Uber ride to/from airport. Beautiful colonial setting will visit again.

This hotel is the center of the old San Juan area. So, you can walk anywhere to go and luckily there is a good parking spot nearby as well. The only thing we are unlucky there was out of service for the elevator and internet when we stayed due to the storm on the day before we had arrived.

Stayed at this Hotel from 12/11 to 12/13/23. Upon entering my hotel room, I noticed there were no chairs in the hotel room, forcing me to use the bed for seating. During the morning of check-out, I discovered a 'makeup bench seat' tucked under the nightstand. When I sat on it, the seat unexpectedly broke. It became apparent that the top of the seat was made of a very thin MDF board, raising concerns about its structural integrity. There were no warning signs, such as 'fragile', to caution users, and no one informed me about its delicate nature. Upon leaving the hotel, I attempted to inform the front desk about the broken seat. Unfortunately, there was no one present, and our Uber had arrived with no available parking space. Consequently, I had to leave the key on the front desk and depart. The hotel is attempting to charge me $120 for the broken seat. I find this unreasonable, as I used the 'makeup bench seat' in a normal manner and did not misuse it. The top of the seat, being excessively thin, was unable to support the weight of an average person (me:170 lbs). Later, on a phone call with the hotel, I was told that the seat was in fact a fragile table and that nobody should sit on it. Given there were no warning signs, such as 'fragile', to caution the customer, and no one informed me about its delicate nature in the first place, I believe the responsibility for this situation lies with the hotel management, and I should not be held accountable for the incurred charge.

This charming hotel manages to retain the quaint look of Old San Juan while delivering three very important room amenities - excellent water pressure, strong air conditioning, and a very comfortable bed. I slept well and very much enjoyed my stay here, and check-in and check-out were easy and quick. The rooftop lounge area with infinity pool looking toward the harbor was comfortbale and nice. I will happily return to La Terrazza de San Juan.
