Hôtel parfait , le personnel est sympathique , tous sans exception nous sommes restés 1 nuit de plus soit au total 4 nuits , les chambres propres , l'hôtel aussi , un endroit parfait pour se détendre . Quand nous reviendrons c'est sûr c'est ici que nous déposerons nos valises ! Mr Lemaitre chambre 435

We stayed at this hotel. On first sight clean and tidy. We now know that the chances are the sheets had not been changed and had we been more educated we would have know it was a sign of bed bugs. It wasn’t until the morning we left. I saw an adult bug. After returning home I have over 50 bites and am being treated with steroid creams, We are now having to check our bed daily and was everything over 60 and spray our bed. We won’t know for a while if we have brought the home. The hotel have failed to respond to our emails. It is room 528. I do not wish this on anyone else. The photographs are of day two of steroid treatment. There are many other places I cannot photograph. It is by far my worse experience to date!

Got a last minute bargain, rooms are cleanish, plastic orange cover over bed had stains on it and floor felt a bit grubby at times ,but cleaners were in most days, location is good 5 to 10 minutes to the beach . The dining experience was not great , understaffed meant that you struggled to find cutlery and sometimes glasses as they couldn't keep up with demand, glasses were dirty as were plates, the food itself was OK a bit bland but there were spices on hand to jazz the taste up a little , reception staff were very good resolved a patio door issue straight away, rang taxis for us and were genuinely very good. for me improvements could be made in the restraunt to avoid a school canteen type environment , we were half board and didn't buy any drinks as they had plastic glasses and a ridiculous token system that put us off so we generally ate and left ,all in all we had a decent stay but I wouldn't return

Currently staying at the villa dorada as a party of 4 in two rooms. Arrived 14th October for 1 week. Hotel is a 15 minute walk away from main Salou, quite a hilly area if you have mobility issues. The hotel offers free WiFi….. utter rubbish and doesn’t work! The closest beach is a 5-10 minute walk away but that’s only to the top of the hill, it’s a long steep walk down to the cove. Check in was fast and rooms ready with us arriving before lunch time. Rooms: Two small double beds. Pillows like pancakes even with a spare one on it! Beds are comfortable enough. Rooms could do with some fixture upgrades as looks very tatty. We are lucky and got a corner balcony on one of the rooms, very spacious and includes table and chairs as well as a clothes airer. Wardrobe space is atrocious! If there were 3 or 4 sharing a room, there would be nowhere to put anything! Bathroom has a walk in shower, good right? Don’t have the shower head pointing anywhere apart from the wall as it will flood the bathroom! When I say flood, I mean flood! There is water damage to the bathroom door because of this! There was no lock on our balcony, once reported, it was fixed within a few hours. Smell of sewage in the bathroom in the morning is stomach wrenching! Restaurant: Breakfast has all the usual that you expect from an all inclusive hotel. Food warm. If you want fried eggs, omelette pancakes or a toastie, you will need to queue patiently as one person cooks everything you can wait 10 minutes for this! Lunch and evening meal: Not much choice, both sides of buffet filled with same food and repetitive. Your usual fish, paella then some random dishes more than once like rabbit and pigs trotters! I will say, I had the tastiest curry I’ve had in Spain in this hotel! You will always have chips, pizza and pasta so kids are happy and fussy eaters! Pool area: Pool grounds are the cleanest I’ve ever seen in a hotel! Cleaned every morning and evening. Plenty of sun loungers to go around ( all though need replacing). There is always some who have their towels out at a ridiculous time, same in every hotel I guess. The tiles around the pool area are not made for outdoor use! The amount of people who have slipped or fallen is unbelievable, luckily I slipped a few times and managed to save myself. Be very careful when here if you do decide to book. Pool bar: You can get snacks for here if you wish as well as your drinks. One person serving (maybe be a it’s low season?) service a bit slow especially if someone orders food, they disappear up the back for ages to prepare it. There is a token system for drinks. You receive a token on check in which you swap for a drink, once you take you plastic cup back, you can get another drink or token back. Beware that they may start shouting at you (like they did me). I had 4 tokens for 4 drinks for the family to be shouted at by an arrogant bar man! Arguing that I only gave 3 tokens when I know I had 4! He was rather rude but only came across him once

We’ve just returned from a fabulous family holiday - our first as a threesome (son is 10) and our first abroad holiday as a couple since our honeymoon 17 years ago! It was an incredible experience for our son who’s only ever had staycations so we were a little uncertain as to how he’d take it - we needn’t have been, he loved every second of it! We went all inclusive with Jet2 and they were amazing. I’d definitely recommend all-inclusive as there’s plenty of food and drink available from breakfast to twilight. OK, the restaurant was a little chaotic and it’s more adult-orientated but he ate well and had pop whenever was required. The tokens are a bit odd seeing as you have a wristband but it ensures you get fresh glasses every time you need a beer/refreshment. The pool is great - but VERY slippy, so beware! A few kids and adults went over. ALWAYS wear suitable footwear!!! The centre of Salou is 10mins away, as is the Med which was incredible. Drinks are cheap and the food is top notch. As a first holiday for kids, I cannot recommend this hotel and resort enough,

Have just returned from an 8 night stay here. Having read a few reviews beforehand I was apprehensive. There was no reason to be so. Yes the tiles around the pool are very slippy and a hazard, but a pair of swim shoes and a touch of caution resulted in no further slips. Rooms were nice, balcony on each room with an airer included. Fridge included, safe (payable), hairdryer in bathroom (isn’t great but better than nothing). Hotel is close to a lot of shops, and close enough to walk to the *****, and far enough to be quiet at night. Slept well each night, room cleaned to a good standard each day. Staff very friendly- brilliant with kids. Good prices for food and drink. Meals were good, plenty of variety and different mains each night. Cooked fresh in front of you. Good bakery selection each morning, pancakes and omelettes on demand also. Night time entertainment was great, the lads clearly love what they do- and that creates a great atmosphere. All in all, brilliant stay.

The overall experience was alright. Very good for a 3 star I suppose and it has some faults but they aren't that bad. Firstly, the restaurant is really good and there's a great variety of food and drinks! The reception staff were also noticeably great. Something which was quite annoying is the water being extremely cold in the pool (lots colder than the sea) as well as the wi-fi connections being inconsistent and not working too well. The beds are quite nice though as well as the shower. Overall, it's fantastic value for money and I think this is one of the best options if you're on a budget. I feel the weather might've ruined the experience a bit but of course that is not the hotel's fault.

The hotel is well priced and convenient. The deal breaker is the strong sewer smell making it very unpleasant inside the room.

We stayed here as a family of 4 kids ages 6&2 Our room was ready on arrival which was clean we had a pool view we were on the 4th floor and it was a lovely view. The token system for drinks was new to us, but makes complete sense. We were half board breakfast was nice a good variety. Dinner you will always find something there is always a pasta, pizza etc We were out and about a lot so never seen what the entertainment was like. I never experienced any rude staff they were all very friendly. We would definitely consider returning here if thinking about coming back to Salou.
