The biggest downside for us was valet parking. At $52 per day, it felt expensive, but I could have overlooked that if the service had been more consistent. One morning, we waited approximately 45 minutes to get our vehicle. If someone had a flight to catch or a scheduled event, that kind of delay could create a real problem. I also missed having easy access to my vehicle if I needed to grab something quickly.
The room was spacious. The king bed was medium-firm, though I personally prefer a much softer mattress at home.
We traveled with our two children (ages 5 and 7), who slept on the pull-out sofa bed. This was one of the better pull-out beds we've experienced during our travels. The made-to-order breakfast was phenomenal and one of the highlights of our stay.The selection of toppings and add-ins was impressive, and you can customize your omelet just about any way you want. The complimentary evening reception was also a nice bonus with snacks, drinks, and draft beer available.
The indoor pool was clean and enjoyable. One thing I personally appreciated was that it was approximately three feet deep throughout. The location was excellent. We were close to the City Museum, the Gateway Arch. The only other amenity I would have loved to see is a hot tub.
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Between the large rooms, excellent breakfast, family-friendly atmosphere, great location, and outstanding staff, I would absolutely stay here again. Valet is just a bummer.
