빌라 1565(Villa 1565 - Saint Augustine)

This place was great. Out first trip to St. Augustine. We will be coming back. Every one at the hotel was so helpful and polite. Location was great and a great starter breakfast. Location was great. . The trolley pick us at the hotel. Great fun great history. If you go make sure to visit the place with the Big Cross . You can walk around it and find out about a lot of history. Don't forget about the pool they have at hotel Great trip for young and old

Our stay was wonderful the place was so cozy and nice. Our room was big and clean, the service was quick. the location was right in St. Augustine. Everything was in walking distance. We would go back again! 

It was nice being with a mile of downtown and all the restaurants, shops and historic sites. In a large city that would mean a mile of congested traffic and possibly sketchy neighborhoods, but St Augustine is great for walking. We didn’t move our car at all! Great sidewalks and everything laid out for pedestrians. The hotel is older but they have obviously tried to update it. The shower was wonderful as were the rest of the fixtures but they had taken shortcuts with the vanity-looked like painted particle board. The bedroom was very sp****ly decorated with a nice top on painted board cabinets. Mattress was very comfortable but rested on a metal base that I kept accidentally kicking. The medal side “tables” were attached to the walls and little space for anything bigger than a cell phone. The problem with the metal and FL’s climate was that there was rust running down the shower wall and it just looked cheap. Breakfast was standard chain hotel fare. That said, it was clean and comfortable and quite reasonably priced for the area. St Augustine is quite busy even in the middle of February. Loved the 600 year old live oak in the middle of the courtyard!

The property looks more like a hotel online and it’s definitely a motel. The rooms have been remodeled - so that was nice, but once the smell of bleach wore off after we arrived, it smelled pretty musty. We did keep the air on so it wasn’t stagnant. The rooms aren’t super sound proof so we heard people throughout the night. I understand it’s a very old building and aesthetically it wasn’t terrible, but for anyone sensitive to mold/must or strong odors like bleach, this is not the place to go. One perk is that it’s a trolley tour stop which makes it easy to get to the shopping market, and the area is very walkable and convenient to lots of touristy things. I personally wouldn’t stay again, however my friend who was with me would consider it.

Property not as advertised. Claims to be recently renovated but is not. Mold in bathroom, dirty walls and curtain, old furniture. High ******* rating is totally wrong.

If you’re looking for an overpriced dirty motel then this is it. This place is so rundown. Lights are discolored, rusted, and gross. The bed is on top of a metal box. The mattress and pillows are probably the cheapest you can buy out there. Stay at the holiday inn down the street as I’m sure they have better standards.

Older hotel but bedding was fresh and nice. Updated bathroom. Excellent breakfast. Ez walk to historical downtown.

Although the hotel was close to everything, the hotel itself was quite rundown and the grounds were dirty. full of ****s and could use a paint job. Could be so so much nicer with a little cleaning and mai tenance.

The location is the biggest selling point... it's on the edge of a beautiful, quiet neighborhood with picturesque Magnolia Drive and the Fountain of Youth Park, and in 15 min. Walking distance from historic downtown. The photos of the hotel are a bit misleading... It's not at all what I would call a "villa", closer to a 3-star hotel... A bit older and the beds were lumpy. Small things. But would still stay again because you can't beat the location! Very quiet and safe.
