Conveniently located adjacent to the Lions Bridge, Marker 8 Hotel has everything you could want in order to visit St. Augustine. Rooms were very clean and the bedding extremely comfortable. Restaurants are within walking distance as well as a short walk across the bridge into St. Augustine. Staff was very accommodating and the breakfast was delicious.

Comfortable bed, crazy soft sheets, great balcony view (watch the room you pick). Includes bfast - which is nice (although I argue shd include coffee AND juice). I wish a closer attn to details was followed with room maintenance and cleanliness. Like coffee mugs and woodwork were dusty/dirty. Highlight is front desk staff. Great ice machine, elevator to 2nd floor helpful. Has luggage carts to use. Marina is very small, and only thing I’ll state is this is more of a motel. Is at the end of bridge of lions- so you’re on the other side of old St Augustine. Fun to watch the bridge openings. But neighborhood here is a bit mixed - mostly ok.

We stayed two days to explore St. Augustine. We walked everywhere from the Marker 8. The view from our room was wonderful! The breakfasts were unexpectedly amazing. The staff takes great attention to detail.

We stayed 3 nights and wished all our hotel stays could be as good as this. Staff is welcoming & friendly. Room size is generous, towels too. Breakfast is included & served with 2 options varying every day and always offering scrambled or fried eggs every day. Good coffee too. Parking is free but spaces can be hard to find. Happy hour is 5to6 daily w cash bar. Restaurants are nearby within walking distance.

Wonderful hotel. View, breakfast, happy hour, staff, and room all great. Only improvement requests are: 1) to add hooks and/or towel racks to the bathroom and 2) figure out how to keep the floors in the room cleaner. My feet turned black when walking barefoot in the room.

Water and bridge view with downtown in the background...beautiful. Didn't hear neighboring guests and parking is right out the door. Couldn't ask for a better stay.

This is a great location! The historic district is a short walk across the Bridge of Lions. The hotel is set on 2 floors. It was incredibly worth it to stay in a room on the upper floor with a balcony giving a fabulous view of the bay, marina and the bridge. With my cellphone, I was able to record the “raising of the drawbridge” for sailboats etc to pass. The room is comfortable and the bathroom has a spacious shower enclosure with copious amounts of hot water. My spouse and I loved the nautical feel and theme of the room. Front desk check- in was swift. I’ve got a slogan that comprehensively relays my opinion of a hotel. “If the front desk staff only see me at check-in and at check- out, then I have had no issues/ complaints or found anything wanting that I may have had to request. Special mention must be made of the breakfast here. It is definitely NOT a Continental breakfast. The staff here, Belinda, B’s Auntie and their colleague run a tight ship( 😊) The menu changes every day and Belinda will recite it to each patron without missing a beat. The meal consists of starters and an entree. There wasn’t a day that we had both. If either of us had a starter, we’d share an entree. My only request on our first morning there was extra hot water for tea as the tea in my first cup cooled down too much for my liking. A fresh cup was still not hot enough as I do enjoy extra hot tea. Each morning after that they would have that extra hot water ready for me in an insulated cup.

Very beautiful place and location. Excellent staff and room. Very good bed. Excellent breakfast. Not normal stuff. They serve you. The city is very beautiful and worth more time to see it. The Hotel is near the best places. Recommended.

Beautiful view of the marina and boats. You can see the Lions Bridge and downtown all lit up. The room was very cicely done and updated. The bed was decadent.
