As I hadn't been to Musanze for 3 years (covid) I spent a few hours doing a tour of the main hotels in the town centre. Although I was keen to try somewhere else, having been to Garden Place three times before, I ended up coming back to what is really the best accommodation option in terms of comfort and provision of facilities but also the one offering the best value. The rooms are excellent, beds comfortable, mosquito nets still intact, with good bathrooms and solid showers (not plastic Chinese boxes inserted into a corner - yes, Fatima!). Since my last visit they have built a restaurant and coffee shop in the hotel grounds which should be a plus, although the service was reluctant and the coffee shop couldn't offer coffee as their machine had broken. Never mind, the excellent Migano's cafe is just down the road. Just remember that this is a church hotel, so no bar serving alcohol and no guests allowed in your room.
