로코 포르테 호텔 드 라 빌(Rocco Forte Hotel de La Ville)

This property was recently renovated and it shows. Everything works and the rooms are meticulously decorated and sumptuous. From the moment I arrived inquiring about a last minute stay, I was given a tour of available rooms by Angelica, who made me feel like I was the only reason she was working that day. After securing us a spectacular room and seeing to our every comfort, we then experienced 5 days of service that never once faltered. From the doormen who greet you to those who service your room to the staff at the front desk, they all followed Angelica’s stellar example of how to treat guests looking for a 5-Star experience. This is the place to stay if you want to be treated like royalty.

DO NOT MAKE A RESERVATION HERE. I booked online for April, yet when my email confirmation came, it said February, the exact day that I was booking the rez, so I called immediately and asked that they correct the dates to April, and they would not do so and charged my card immediately. This is the WORST customer service I have ever experienced with a reservation clerk yelling at me at 7am

Another fantastic stay. We stayed for the 1st time in Nov 2022 when we got engaged in Rome and have returned this year to plan our wedding in the hotel! Our stay was fantastic again. It is the tiny touches that make the stay incredible. Our Junior Suite we got upgraded to was beautiful and spacious. The staff are absolutely incredible, every single person we encountered were so lovely. We can not wait to have our big day there next Jan!

Our stay at Hotel de la Ville was overshadowed by a series of service shortfalls. The concierge service was notably lackluster, falling short of our expectations and failing to accommodate our needs throughout our stay. For a hotel situated in a vibrant city like Rome, one would anticipate a wealth of offerings and insider recommendations, but we encountered quite the opposite. Furthermore, the terrace service left much to be desired. On one occasion, the staff merely removed used cutlery from our plates and placed them back on the table instead of providing fresh cutlery—a basic standard of service that one would expect. Regrettably, our experience was not in line with the standards we hoped for in such an establishment.

Man fragt sich schon, auf was die sehr gute Bewertung basiert. Das Hotel liegt gut, ist aber kalt und wenig einladend. Unser Zimmer war dunkel, kleine Fenster und keine richtige Beleuchtung. Bei unserer Ankunft roch das Zimmer so stark und penetrant nach Putzmittel, dass uns schlecht wurde und wir stundenlang die Fenster offen halten mussten. Der Frühstücksraum hat den Charme einer Bahnhofshalle. Die Türen zum Innenhof standen ständig offen, obwohl draussen max 15 Grad waren. So schlürft man seinen Cappuccino in der Windjacke. Sicher kein 5-Sterne-Hotel.

Enjoyed beautiful lunch on 7th floor terrace, with perfect views across Rome. We also had cocktails on terrace below, which were gorgeous. 100% recommend a visit here, to relax and enjoy the ambience and beautiful food and drink.

My husband and I visited Hotel de la Ville in Roma, and words cannot express how I feel about this hotel it was marvellous . Impeccable service from the reception desk Elisa, Merle, Valentina, whole hotel staff was amazing polite and cordial, we’ve met Gabriele the manager and Alessandra the head concierge really first class service. Our dinner at Cielo restaurant, even though it was raining and we could not be in the roof top we had a table at gorgeous Sistina, where we had the most amazing caccio e peppe and again impeccable service from Illaria, and everyone in the restaurant was very attentive and helpful. We were here for 3 nights in Rome and loved it. I had organized with the hotel for a guide for two tours - one of the colosseum and one of the vatican. The guide was excellent. Concierge at the hotel was excellent for this and all other needs one may have in Rome. We had a nice corner room on the 5th floor overlooking the city. It was gorgeous, the bed was huge and comfortable, and the bathroom was gigantic and lavish. We loved all the toiletries. The bed was super comfortable, linens plush. Service from every person we encountered was exceptional. Breakfast service was delicious in the courtyard every morning. IN addition, we had cocktails one night in the juniper bar. the bartender was fun, gave us some new drinks to try, and we enjoyed the snacks that accompanied the delicious drinks. Same with the cielo bar on the top floor, where we had drinks another night. Overall, this is an excellent hotel with outstanding service and a wonderful location from which to explore Rome. I'd highly recommend it.

Great service. Front of house staff were brilliant, with recommendations for the Opera and where to eat as well as sorting our transfer times. Restaurant and Breakfast staff were incredibly attentive and always had a smile (something lacking in many of the other restaurants in Rome). Having stayed at some of the worlds best hotels the service from this hotel is up there with the best i have experienced and would recommend without a doubt. The room was also faultless and the hotel is in a great location to explore the city.
