호텔 엘리브니스벨트 슈토커(Hotel Erlebniswelt Stocker)

Without doubt this family owned hotel has one of the finest locations for a family skiing holiday in Austria: Skiing is possible from the hotel doorstep - both "in" and out". Hotel is at the top of the first lift out of the main village. This two man chair lift is about to be replaced by a much bigger chairlift as construction is well under way. Chairlift up the mountain is a short "Blue" run from hotel. Then a larger "bubble lift" takes you to the summit at 1852m. Ski hire shop is within the hotel. Ski pass purchase is next door (20m). Ski school meeting location is approximately 50m away Ski bus stop to other skiing areas is outside the hotels front door. Wonderful infinity pool - we experienced swimming with snow falling on our heads - yes, the pool is warm! Family sauna and separate adult sauna/spa. Hotel's "half-board" includes a soup course at lunchtime and a 5 course excellent dinner (including a cheese board in the evening). Hotel waitress staff quietly efficient and friendly. Children's play room, bowling alley etc, and several bars (including a dungeon!). Only improvement that I would like to see is fresh orange juice at breakfast.

We had a quick lunch and was sitting inside in the restaurant. Two of us had spaghetti bolognese, one had toast and one had pizza rucola. Three of the courses was ok however the pizza and the orange juice did not live up to the standards we expected

We spend week 6 2022 skiing in Schladming and we stayed with Erlebniswelt. The hotel is perfectly located right on the slopes and the rooms and pool makes for a near perfect accommodation for a family ski trip. This is sadly ruined by terrible service. From all staff in the hotel we meet only two who smiled and cared about their job. It feels like the working culture in the hotel needs work. Worst was the the Stocker couple who owns the place both yelled at our kids to the point of them running away in tears. Yes, kids needs to learn to control their portions in a buffet, and it is fair to tell them once. I also accepted this. When my son (who does not understand german) then 10 minutes later again was yelled at to the point of tears it became a joke. Another day a kid from our group was yelled at in German for peeing in the snow. They are 8 years old !!!!????? So in short, nice location, medium food, only few staff members smiling, terrible management. I would go spent my money somewhere else...

The atmosphere is nice. Our burgers were huge and delicious. Not an upscale restaurant but very good. There were specials. All in all, a good experience. Service was very good. Outdoor seating was very nice, scenery was nice. Pizzas were decent.

I spent in Austria 2 weeks every year in sommer and winter, always **** and up, mostly wellness hotels I Alps but here it was first time in 20 years I was disappointed starting from electronic communication over staying till departure. Unfortunately this was only available hotel and now I know why. Customer is just source of money, whatever wish you have, you feel like bothering the owners & receptionist and you must pay for everything! Only the Slovakian staff in restaurant and cleaning staff was friendly. Room spacious however not ambient with strange red carpet, WiFi did not work, noise coming from street, not enough privacy on balcony. Food was ok 30 years ago, not today, heavy farmers style food, all taste the same. No choice for kids. Adults might feel heavy stomach, avoid sea food- it is really not fresh , no variety for breakfast or dinner. Wellness-missing whirlpool, the swimming pool is definitely the best part of hotel but water could be warmer. Parking-insufficient capacity and too far . Entertainment very limited-table tenis, old video games, again 30 years ago would be ok, not now! Smaller kids will be very bored here

Perfekte Lage: im Winter direkt an der Schipiste, im Sommer Ausgangspunkt für schöne Wanderungen. Zum Entspannen gibt's einen großzügigen Wellnessbereich mit Infinitypool und Sauna am Dach. Gutes Essen, nette Betreuung. Immer wieder gerne Urlaub hier.
