호텔 후라우 킨타 드 노바이스(Hotel Rural Quinta de Novais)

Very charming hotel, inspiring nature and rural surroundings. The hosts and staff were exceedingly nice and attentive and the decoration is sober, simple and elegant. Lovely breakfast with lots of fresh fruits and nice breads, served in a magnificent room with wide views to the garden and the green valley with chestnut trees and oak trees. Charming living room with stone walls, a fireplace and table games. Warm and comfortable bedroom with a private balcony and plenty of space. The building is very well rebuilt, keeping its seventeenth/ eighteenth century magic but with a modern, fresh twist. Only two suggestions: replace the bedroom lights for warmer ones (white lights are a bit too cold and unwelcoming) and have some more towelracks in the bathroom.

Lovely green area around the hotel with swimming pool. Very quiet area. Wonderful breakfast with lots of fresh fruit. Very clean and welcoming. My only complaint would be that the mattress was very in comfortable (feeling the springs) it is definitely time for a new one.

Simple hotel , in the middle of the forest , excellent location for people and families who travel in Arouca ( we travel in paiva walk away and it was about 10 min drive). The stuff is very nice . Even the pool is nice but we didn’t use it. The place is a little bit old so that few things are moderate. Breakfast is nice with fresh fruit but pretty basic.

Charming hotel in an restored houses from 18th of century. Quiet location, but not far from the city Arouca. Perfect for a relaxing stay and good base for exploring the region, iuncluding the Aroca 516 bridge. My room was inviting, with relaxing views to the forrest, bed was comfortable, bathroom spacious. I loved the common room with a fireplace, lots of books, also guide books. The restaurant is very atractive with a big panoramic window. Breakfast was tasty, with lots of local products, even home made orange marmalade and tasty localy produced honey. The personnel was atentive, helpfull, and talkative. Wi-fi worked well, there is a free parking and if you like to swimm they ve got an inviting outdoor but covered swimming pool.One of the best options to stay in the region!

The hotel is nice however it needs to be renovated. The rooms smell old and dusty. The hosts were not very nice and every time we asked for something, it seemed as if they were doing us a favor. Breakfast was medium. Fruit and home made cakes were good but the same all days. We went to the supermarket to buy for breakfast: granola, honey, a good strawberry jam and chocolate for the milk. They offer Nutella. Swimming pool was pleasant yet small and they don't provide towels. Overall it was a pleasant but I would not stay here again. There are plenty of other places around.

Hotel 3 estrelas, limpo, o dono do hotel.muito prestável. Os quartos tinham ar condicionado e na altura que fomos em Janeiro estava-se muito bem e quentinhos. Para passar uns dias é um local super agradavel. O pequeno almoço suficiente e sempre a repor se pretendermos. A voltar uma outra altura.

Ficamos hospedados duas noites neste hotel. Boa localização. Anfitrião muito simpático e prestativo, com boas dicas de visita sobre a região. Quarto amplo e limpo. Bom pequeno-almoço. Voltarei numa próxima
