Do not hesitate to stay here, it is an amazing small hotel. Wonderful wild beach and plenty of shady areas in the garden with loungers. Tea and snacks brought with smiles! Prawns to die for served beside the pool lit by glittering fairy lights. Wonderful staff who couldn't do enough for us. Dawn boat ride at the bird sanctuary a must and fishing harbour very interesting. Both 5 minute walk away. Love to all at Turtle Bay.

We spent two nights at this wonderful small hotel. Room was tastefully furnished and the bed incredibly comfortable. Staff were kind and friendly and the location idyllic. Kalametiya is a lovely spot with a near deserted beach, tranquil atmosphere and busy fishing harbour to explore.

What a little paradise on earth this place is! We absolutely loved our stay, with delicious food, the most amazing staff and stunning views. I cannot recommend Turtle Bay enough. We will for sure be back! Also the massage is so good. Will also recommend going to the bird sanctuary in the morning, it was magical and was arranged by the manager. Thanks to all the staff for making our first time in Sri Lanka so memorable 😊

This is such a superb, friendly boutique hotel in an amazing location. The staff are excellent (especially Rajitha - every hotel should have a Rajitha ;-)). With 7 rooms its almost like a homestay - simply yet beautifully presented. The food is amazing and its located on a beautiful and very quiet beach. This is a place to come to rejuvenate and chill out and as a real bonus, it's incredible value for money!

We got recommended Turtle Bay from a friend who had stayed there years ago and were able to spend four days there during our trip this February. We were already looking forward to it before arrival. And we can truly say that our stay went even beyond our expectations. Firstly, what we really loved is the location. Much less exploited tourist-wise, although there are good options restaurant- and activity-wise around. Secondly, the hotel is absolutely charming, with few rooms in authentic Sri Lankan style and amazing views on the sea. Beautiful restaurant, pool and garden area also. Thirdly, and most importantly: Their fantastic staff. The chef and his team cooked amazingly, probably our best meals on the entire trip. Highly recommend the Sri Lankan curry selection and the sea food suggestions. They even organized a special Sri Lankan street food evening with Kottu Roti, as we had not tried it before. All staff was absolutely wonderful and our maitre Raji was simply amazing. We also did several ayurvedic treatements with Chandrani, which we can absolutely recommend. And Yoga with Amal, who is excellent too. We had our rooms prepared every day with beautiful flowers. Everyone was so kind and made us feel immediately home. Will definetly visit again when back in Sri Lanka! Thank you Turtle Bay team for making our stay magical!

We absolutely loved our stay at Turtle Bay, it was such a happy experience in every way. The hotel itself is very spacious and comfortable, the rooms are large and airy and feature all that one could need. Hair dryer, mini fridge, nice sitting out balcony, comfortable beds, pillows and cotton linen. The staff were some of the nicest most accommodating and charming that Ive encountered anywhere. I had my 70th birthday here with a group of some family members and friends and the hotel made a massive effort to make it a very happy occasion, organising a special seafood dinner on the terrace poolside, and a wonderful chocolate cake as well. This is a wonderful choice for a group of people holidaying together as it feels as though you are in your own house party but with lots of meal choices available! Food is very good, and it is very fairly priced, making it extremely good value. Thank you Turtle Bay you gave us a wonderful stay, and I would recommend anyone to visit you.

hated this place, by far the least appealing in Sri Lanka for the price. photos don't look like the rooms you are shown you'll get. I have no idea where the lovely bathrooms are?! beach littered with rubbish no help or food after 9pm a tiny pool - if you want to sunbath, you are probably not in the best place staff don't speak English well which makes it hard no room service

Turtle Bay Hotel is magical. Without a doubt the best hotel we stayed at in Sri Lanka. The only downside was we didn’t have long enough there. The staff were wonderful, friendly but professional. The food was absolutely delicious. A location to die for
