터프 호텔(Turf Hotel)

We were kindly booked in here by the owner (who also owns The Buck Inn). I had made a mistake with my booking for The Buck and by the time I realised the The Buck was fully booked. We were so grateful for our stay to be rearranged!! The pub was busy with music in the bar but our room was so quiet we didnt hear a thing! Very comfortable bed, great shower and delicious vegetarian breakfast!!

I arrived to find out I had to park a mile away and pay, had to walk from the car park in the rain to the hotel. Not stated on website ! Also I was told I had to share a bathroom again news to me, it was very dirty. Toilet seat broken disgusting. Noise what sounded like tables being dragged along very late at night. The heating left in all night absolutely sweating all night couldn’t sleep. Never again would I stay there

I enjoyed everything about Turf! The people were wonderful and made on the spot corrections as requested, there were only three. Food was delicious and fresh every morning. Always quiet and restful. Rooms were cozy. More people should know about this hotel and utilize it because they would truly enjoy it!!

This is a cracking pub with wonderful staff. The atmosphere is superb and the Timothy Taylor's Landlord spot on. Full marks to one of the locals who kindly moved aside when we entered so that we could order our drinks. The same happened when we returned our empty glasses on leaving.

As it’s a very old pub it has its issues, but would definitely stay there again. Breakfast was fantastic and everyone was really helpful. I would highly recommend it.

Omg amazing place a footstep away from everything the staff were amazing go out there way to make you feel welcome Brilliant to take kids dogs room bed lovely and cosy ideal to watch the footy ( liverpool match) Alchol reasonable price breakfast lush good qaulity meat we loved our short stay will definitely be back we were lucky with parking there is 3 spaces on property we got there early parked up and looked around richmond lots to see locals in pub are lovely people i cant say enough how nice the staff are especally you lad at breakfast from darlington and young barmaid with red her who asked if i wanted plates and cutlery for my chinese takeaway ( there werent nice to make money from you just genuine nice people see yous soon and be defintely telling friends and family about this place

Grim Mansions Turbo awful - walls stained like a Jackson pollack. Bathroom ceiling more mould than paint. Leaking shower and bathroom light didn’t work. Breakfast from 8-930 and no way of ordering it if you weren’t already on way to work like normal humans. I’ve stayed in war zones with more charm. So bad I paid for a second night but drove 5 hours through a night snow storm to avoid staying there again. If this is the standard of hotels in Richmond I would rather sleep in my car. Literally the pits

I recently visited The Turf Hotel whilst i was on holiday, lovely pub but the older lady member of staff sat outside smoking when we arrived wasn’t a great look for the pub. The food was great no faults there but the lady who served us (same woman as sat outside smoking) was more interested in talking to the other younger staff member than acknowledging us at the bar waiting, she was then quite abrupt and rude with us and it seemed like it was because we had interrupted her personal conversation!! The same woman then brought our food out and the awful smell of cigarettes from her was enough to put us off our food! We later found out she was called Rachael. We will not be returning here because of this and it’s a massive shame as the food was very lovely and it’s also a very lovely pub, just a shame the staff can’t wash their hands or use a breath mint after a cigarette.
