빌라지오 일 가비아노(Villaggio Il Gabbiano)

This was a family and friend trip of 35 people from ages 13 to 73 to gather for a 50th Birthday celebration and we choose Gabbiano because they were accommodating, responsive and always accessible from the planning stages up until the day we left. We travelled from Canada and stayed one week and no one was ready to leave when the week was up. The service, the food (the variety and quality was excellent) and the location itself did not disappoint and exceeded our expectations. It is a family feel community. We thank you for making this long awaited trip our most memorable.

Such a gorgeous hotel, probably the best in the area as it was right on the beach. You have amazing views all day. We had an ocean view junior suite, which was perfect for a family of 4. The room was absolutely SPOTLESS clean. Bathroom was new, clean, spacious and there was always an abundance of clean towels available. Beach towels could be "rented" for a couple euros. Very practical to have a car here so you can explore the beauty of the area. Free parking was partially shaded. The wood oven pizza is excellent!! Morning buffet was small but there were options for everyone and dining was with a lovely view or outdoors. Prices in the hotel were VERY reasonable...they don't gauge you for every little thing so you can actually enjoy the amenities. Small market/shop in the hotel.for any necessities. Pool was amazingly warm and clean and the crew was great with providing aqua fitness and games for both adults and kids (beach volley, potato sack race etc). Kids crew was excellent and always trying to get the kids dancing and having fun at night during the Baby Dance show as well as playing games during the day to keep kids active and entertained. We are rebooking for next year as soon as possible because staying at this hotel was the highlight of our Calabrian vacation!!

Wonderful hotel, clean and comfortable - enthusiastic staff, delicious food, beautifully manicured grounds. Spectacular beach. Lovely hotel overall - I would definitely stay there again.

Great beach location. Many young families with young children. We had no idea when we booked. Nothing to do or now adult type of entertainment on the grounds or in the area. Not the fault of the hotel as we booked through our travel agency that we regularly use in Canada.

What a fantastic family holiday we had. Wonderful facilities, great staff all round, excellent kids club absolutely cannot fault it. Will absolutely return next year and will stay much longer than a week !

Didn’t know what to expect. Overall a great experience from the room to the pool to the beach and the food was fabulous.

After weeks of searching and googling of a a beautiful beach resort in Italy. I found this treasure in paradise in Villiaggio il Gabbiano, absolutely beachfront on the beautiful coast of Capo Vaticano. Few minutes from Ricadi station. Just a call away and staff picked us up from station. Great facilities, from umbrellas and beach sun lounge chairs, fantastic pool. Great breakfast to keep us going. And much variety at lunch and dinner. Staff were very helpful from reception to restaurant staff and cleaners. Very friendly. So sad to leave we will definitely be back. Arrivederci.

The air conditioning in my room does not work which means there is no respite from the heat. I flagged this immediately to the hotel but they just ignored this. Also, meals are served outside in the scorching heat at lunchtime and in the evening (I tried to get a table inside where there is aircon but no luck).

Ideal little quiet place to relax a few days. Beautiful sea view from room at our 2nd floor room, at breakfast so as at the main restaurant at dinner, in fact you have sea view all the day ! Beautiful sunsets over the Stromboli.
