We had a good trip, the hotel has the potential to be amazing but the staff/service needs a lot of work. On arrival, we were provided with a welcome drink and talked through how to check in via a downloadable app. The person checking us in was a little awkward and we found that each time we would walk past she would pretend not to see us and look busy talking or doing something. A simple smile would have been fine. There was also a very awkward gentlemen at reception who never really knew anything when asked. I'll get to him later in my review. We were then taken to our room, which was a Deluxe Suite with Seaview and a private pool, upon first viewing, we were a little underwhelmed. The 'Seaview' was more of a 'Sea-glimpse', with buildings in front of us. This should have been made clear at the point of booking. We didn’t complain as we felt this was probably the best of the bad bunch as most rooms would have restricted views of a lack of privacy. We made a call on going for privacy. We spent most mornings in our pool, which whilst lovely, isn't as private as you think it will be as you share it with the room next to you with a small wall 'separating' the two. Again, having said that, the people in the room alongside us were rarely there when we were, so it didn't cause any problems. We would then move up to the main pool around lunchtime when the sun moved and meant our pool was in the shade for the rest of the day. There is an area behind the poolside with chairs and table (we were not allowed to eat on these for some sort of reason) Instead we were told that we had to order food to the poolside at our sunbeds – this would have been fine is there weren’t cats constantly wondering around waiting under and next to your sunbed looking for you to feed them. If you have a fear of cats don’t bother coming here as this hotel is surrounded by them. At breakfast if you sit outdoors, you will experience the same thing as well at all the restaurants. The restaurants are also not quite restaurants, and you are siting in a large area with room separators which doesn’t really equate to a restaurant – the view was nice but they really need to work out the grass or non-existent grass which is mostly a few ****s some dried grass and just dried up rubble. The area looks upkept due to this. They have separate beach towels which are in the room, to have these changed you need to go down to the spa which is a good way away from the pool area and the beach area. In most other 5* hotels I have stayed at there is often a station at the pool area. When I asked the staff were not helpful and didn’t even offer to get this for me. The breakfast area was well stocked every morning (we were B&B guests) with everything you could really want, including a lovely omelette station. Whilst the staff here were always very friendly, it was sometimes difficult to get their attention promptly in order to get drinks/coffees. On our first day we weren’t offered any hot drink
