Hotel Axos in Crete is a true gem, especially for those seeking a cozy atmosphere and warm, family-like hospitality. We had the pleasure of spending a fantastic week here at the turn of July and August 2024, traveling with our two children. From the very first moment we arrived, we were amazed by the exceptional friendliness of the owners and the entire staff. We felt at home, and their attention to detail and welcoming nature made our stay unforgettable. The hotel is small, which adds to its charm – we avoided crowds while still having access to everything we needed. The location is perfect – close to the beach, shops, and local attractions, yet peaceful enough to truly relax. We absolutely must highlight the amazing bar run by Jannis – every evening there felt special. Jannis serves delicious drinks, and his sense of humor and genuine warmth make it a place you want to return to every single night. Another highlight is the fantastic value for money. The room was spacious, clean, and with daily housekeeping, we felt comfortable throughout our stay. If you’re looking for a place for a family vacation with a friendly atmosphere, away from large resorts, Hotel Axos is a perfect choice. We highly recommend it and will definitely return!

lovely small familly run hotel,all the team who work here are so friendly and helpfull. the breakfast buffet was excellant and varried every day. the location is ideal for the beach,bars,restaurants and the local bus service is both reliable and value for money. this was our first visit to the island and we would definately use this hotel again.

I was so glad I found this place!! The best bar in the area. It has a great atmosphere, good music but, above all, fantastic staff. Yannis, Michalis, Kriti and Christina are so friendly and welcoming. I had some brilliant evenings here and hope to be back there soon. It's a MUST when you're in Platanias. Don't miss it!!

great hotel, all verry clean, best experience at there bar, amazing staff, great service, verry nice drinks, all original, great music, they have live music every wednesday, amazing atmosfear, definitely a must go even if you dont stay there

Spent 2 weeks here back in 2004. Returned this year (19 years since last visit). It didn't disappoint. It was absolutely fabulous. So much choice at breakfast and food was lovely. Hotel is immaculate. The most amazing staff,nothing is to much trouble for them. Great bar with great music and fantastic hardworking staff Great location for lovely restaurants, shops and beach. Wish we had stayed longer. We had a truly fabulous time Thank you to all at Axos for making us so welcome. We will definitely return.

Good family ruun hotel.... Very central..... Very friendly.... Excellent breakfast.... Couldn't fault it..... Will arrange transfer to airport also.... Close to shops bars restraunnts and beach.... Hope to return.... Excellent bar staff and good music... Also live bands.... Had a lovely holiday😎
