Ink Hotels House of Europe

The location on the waterfront in the old town is good - in one way. The staff are helpful, and the building, in a string of old traditional houses, is very characterful and has been sensitively converted to hotel use. Other features may have more specialised appeal. Agoraphobes need not fear the bathroom, and aficionados of spatial puzzles will enjoy working out how to place the paper-bin so that it is accessible from the toilet. From midnight to 4 a.m., live music fans are sure to enjoy the musical offerings from several nearby bars, punctuated by shouts and singing from revellers in the street - all free and available from the comfort of your own room! Ideal preparation for a conference the following day.

Before arriving at the hotel I fell down on a hard tiled floor and hurt my knee and face. The hotelroom we booked was on the second floor which was a bit difficult with my knee. The woman from the hotel (Eva) was very helpful in finding a more suitable room for us and even went with us to a second Ink hotel to show us some options. All the personnel have been extremely friendly and helpful:-). When we come back to Rethymnon we will definitely book here again. ευχαριστώ πολύ!

Very nice, spacious room. I don’t normally write reviews, but I would like to say how much I enjoyed the stay in this hotel. Felt like it was newly renovated. Room had a wall A/C unit and a space heater, both kept my room very comfortable during my stay.Location is very convenient. I stayed during New Years, so I can’t complain about street noise, considering I knew what I was getting myself into. But, the noise didn’t last long enough to disturb me otherwise.

We stay at Ink hotels for almost a week. We really like the rooms which as we informed have been renovated two years now. The atmosphere you get when you enter the hotel and the room is very relaxing. We had a room overlooking the sea and a balcony which was very nice and we enjoy our view at night. The hotel does not have parking, but there is one across the hotel, so it was not a problem for us. The rooms are really clean and the staff is very polite and willing to help. If I travel again in Rethymnon I will stay there.

Arrived here whilst staying in Rethymno. Absolutely hands down thee WORST hotel I’ve ever stepped foot in - I’d go as far as saying the worst building I’ve been in too. There was an actual hole in the ceiling of our hotel room! Shower was just a tap with a curtain around, bathroom floor was soaking wet for some reason and don’t even get me started on the mattress! My boyfriend and I had to pay to stay elsewhere as we were only in the hotel room for 3 minutes and thought we’d catch something from it. Whole place had the stench of damp and honestly I wouldn’t wish it upon my worst enemy. We are scarred for life. I’d rather sleep rough.

Αρχικά έκλεισα το δωμάτιο για να πάμε 4 γυναίκες συνάδελφοι για δουλειά. Οι 2 αρρώστησαν και έτσι "τόλμησα" να ζητήσω αλλαγή δωματίου και κατ'επέκταση τιμής έτσι ώστε να πληρώσουμε λιγότερο αφού θα ήμασταν 2 άτομα. Μετά απο διαδικασίες σε τηλέφωνα στην booking αλλα και στο δωμάτιο προσπαθούσα να κατανοήσω το γεγονός οτι θα μου "άλλαζαν" απο 4 σε 2 ατομα την κράτηση αλλα με την ίδια ακριβώς τιμή(για κλάματα) και με ρωτούσαν για να ξέρουν να στρώσουν τα άλλα 2 κρεβάτια. Απαράδεκτο! Το δωμάτιο ήταν παλιό και (τύπου υπόγειο) και κλειστοφοβικό. Ήταν γεμάτο υγρασία καλυμμένο με μπαλώματα. Τα σεντόνια είχαν τρίχες και γενικά ήταν ένα δωμάτιο που δε θα έδινες με τίποτα σε αυτή την τιμή. Το καλύτερο από όλα? Η φασαρία. Απέξω από το παράθυρο(το οποίο ήταν σα να ήταν ανύπαρκτο) ακούγονταν ξεκάθαρα τα πάντα. Με αποτέλεσμα να μείνουμε άυπνες. Δε θα το επέλεγα ξανά ούτε θα το πρότεινα!

Première nuit en Crête dans cet hôtel, bon accueil par l’hôte. Hôtel situé dans le centre de la vieille ville de Rethymno. Belle chambre avec une grande terrasse. Salle de bain petite mais suffisante pour une nuit. Chambre climatisée. Buffet pour le petit déjeuner, pas de chocolat chaud, buffet assez bien fourni.

Un très joli hôtel, qui est une ancienne maison turque en pierre et bois bien restaurée, très bien situé face à la mer et à deux pas de l'entrée de la vieille ville, des lieux à visiter, des restaurants. Prix très correct. Le soir il y a des restaus et bars en bas, mais le bruit ne m'a pas dérangée car la chambre a des volets. La chambre avec balcon vue mer était ravissante, grande et bien équipée (wifi, clim, télé...), c'est sans doute la plus belle chambre de l'hôtel, mais c'est dommage il y avait une bouilloire et des tasses mais pas de sachets de café ni de thé. Ca serait bien d'en mettre dans la chambre. Salle de bain bien, mais avec un gros problème de canalisation : à chaque fois que je prenais une douche le bac à douche débordait et en plus l'eau ressortait par une bouche de canalisation située dans la salle de bain. Il y avait 5 cm d'eau partout, le tapis de bain et les affaires laissées par terre étaient trempées et surtout j'ai eu peur de mourir électrocutée en marchant pieds nus dans toute cette eau avec la lumière allumée! Je l'ai signalé et une femme est venue déboucher la douche le lendemain, cela s'est un peu amélioré mais cela n'a pas réglé le problème entièrement car la bouche de canalisation continuait à recracher de l'eau. Je pense qu'il faut faire des petits travaux sur l'écoulement d'eau dans cette chambre. Petit déjeuner très correct mais tout de même un peu cher (10 euros). Les femmes de ménage sont très agréables et souriantes, les garçons de l'accueil aussi, mais il y avait aussi les après-midi une jeune femme très sèche à la limite de l'impolitesse. A améliorer aussi! Presque parfait donc, quelques points à revoir.
