알베르고 이탈리아(Albergo Italia)

I booked a single room at the Italia. It's in an unprepossing area of Reggio Emilia, and nobody was around when I turned up. I called and ten minutes later somebody let me in. His Italian was very poor, but he tried to communicate that I could have a different room for a couple of hours because somebody was sleeping in my single room. Then I could change. Very little made me feel like any of this was a good idea, and I booked somewhere else. It didn't feel secure, although I didn't get to see either room. Also, the area around the station felt quite dodgy with lots of gangs of youths in the shadows (the police were evidently trying and failing to move them on all afternoon and evening) - to reach the Italia I'd have had to go past them, through the station and 100m through an underpass, then a big carpark. I'm used to dodgy areas but I'm glad I chose to go elsewhere. All this is just my own view, and I didn't see much of the hotel beyond the outside and reception, so others may know more.

The hotel lacked a lot of basic amenities like internet. I would have overlooked that but i did not appreciate that my non-smoking room reaked of cigarettes. Staff sprayed air freshener but that had zero impact.

I had the opportunity to stay and you must say that it is an excellent strategic point for those who want to make more stops. Reggio Emilia located in a central position in such a way as to leave the car in their parking lot or possibly in the parking lot near the train station (about 2 minutes on foot) from there the whole route starts thanks to electric mobility and also the convenient services of the city.

Struttura ricettiva in condizioni igieniche terribile. Bagno senza carta igienica lavello sporco idem doccia. Camera maleodorante ed sporca. Materasso completamente sfondato. Cuscino idem Senza lenzuola solo federa ed 1 coperta usata maleodorante ed sporca. Si sentono tutti i rumori delle camere adiacenti. Non capisco perché certe strutture possano essere presenti sulle piattaforme. Esperienza terribile.

Le condizioni della struttura lasciavano desiderare. Dopo l'ingresso in una prima camera, invivibile per le condizioni del bagno, dove la doccia bagnava tutto (non essendoci lo spazio neanche per una tenda che la separasse dal gabinetto) abbiamo chiesto di cambiare camera. Le condizioni di quest'ultima erano migliori, ma dopo la prima notte il letto si rompe e chiediamo dunque (proposta nostra) di cambiarlo con quello di un'altra camera vuota...Insomma condizioni fatiscenti. Per finire, al momento del saldo della somma completa del soggiorno chiediamo almeno uno sconto per tutti gli inconvenienti sperimentati, ma ci viene detto dalla reception che non hanno responsabilità in merito e che si dovrebbe chiedere al proprietario (non è chiaro perché non si sia potuto interpellarlo). Assolutamente non consigliato.

Devo dire che non concordo con la valutazione, ho visto 2 stelle ben peggiori... Camera piccola ma sufficiente per chi soggiorna solo 1 notte. Avrei solo gradito una tv un pò più grande (è presente un 24 pollici)
