Excelente el servicio, la cordialidad en la atención, la buena disposición del personal para resolver cualquier situación. La alfombra de la habitación está requiriendo un cambio, que no hace mella a la excelente buena atención!

We have spent two nights at Sheraton in Colonia. We went mainly because it was one of the few places with spa/bigger pools. That part was nice and more or less clean (some tiles missing - some dirt in the pools but not too much). The deck chairs on the other hand were very dirty and all in all the place around the pool wasn't clean - it looked like it hasn't been cleaned for several days and the same dirt was by the pool the day after. The worst part was the room - the view was astonishing but the room was really old, dirty and not very well taken care of. The whole hotel wasn't really taken good care of, just the entrance and the outside were OK. The breakfast was special: The food that needed cooling (cheese, butter and so) were chilled with a fan (30 degrees outside - a fan only throws around hot air) - so the butter was melt and the cheese even had mould on it. We only ate dinner there once - the food was OK but also here the glasses weren't really clean and the tablecloth had weird stains and dirty on it. One thing that stood out was that the staff only spoke Spanish – no English nor Portuguese or any other language. So, all and all it was a disappointment - I expected more from a Sheraton! I have been to hotels with less "hotel stars" that were way cleaner, newer and really taken care of. Here it just seems like they don't care.

Beautiful hotel overlooking the Rio de La Plata, with a view in the distance of the sky line of Buenos Aires in Argentina. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Restaurant selection for breakfast buffet was huge and delicious; the evening menu was equally delicious. Great pool area with multiple large pools, all overlooking the golf course. Bikes to borrow if you want to cycle through the neighborhood and visit the amazing beach down the road. Well worth the drive from Montevideo, or the Buquebus crossing from Buenos Aires!

Impressive facility but needs updating. Huge pool area but why sand around the pool. Rooms large. With maintenance help the AC worked. Breakfast = eh. Convenient for the ferry to Buenos Aires in the morning. Outstanding swarm of mosquitoes were beyond terrible in the morning.

The grounds are really wonderful: A path leads to the river, little lakes with a lot of wildlife, hummingbirds . The rooms are very dated. No tea/ coffee. The carpets in the hallways are in urgent need of replacement. The breakfast was ok. But no omeletts or other egg dishes made to order. The hotel needs a refurbishment.

There are two things that disappointed me about this hotel. First the lack of cleaning and maintenance in general. Dirty windows and loose taps. Second, they told us that we could use the services and then they charged us an extra 20 dollars that they never notified in advance. I wouldn't go back.

Disappointing. They have really old tvs but front desk confirmed they do nothing. So you can’t relax in the room or connect your phone to them. The blow dryers don’t work. The tub is very old and looks rusty yellow. The robes need softener urgently. The staff hung up on me twice on random situations I had with the room. I wasn’t even arguing about them. Just very poor experience for a Sheraton. Expected something better kept together.
