Travelling with two kids, we had a long layover on Frankfurt and looked for a family friendly accommodation with restaurant, free airport shuttle service, adjoining rooms and some activity for the kids (in this case a pool). Shuttle from airport to hotel worked well, but our adjoining room request ”got lost in the booking”, despite booking directly through the hotel website and not via one of the big platforms. Staff was stressed and just brushed wishes aside. Restaurant was closed for private function, didn't even serve sth to take to the room. Rooms were clean-ish, when we moved beda together we found used tissues underneath. Pool was then closed for major part of the next day and return shuttle to the airport was not free. That info is buried deep on the hotel website. All in all, not a very pleasant customer experience. Especially staff could have been more empathetic towards family with two small kids. Won't be coming back, for sure.
