카야암 하우스(Kayaam House)

We spent three nights at Kayaam House and it was perfect. They have put together all the right elements and arrived at a hotel which is even better than the sum of its parts. The service, food, ambience, decor: all are just right. The ground floor room we had was very comfortable. The only thing I would like is some kind of devise which would afford a little more privacy, as the side facing the pool was one huge window and all could look in unless we pulled down the blind. The pool is large and useful as it's often not a good idea to swim in the sea, especially after the morning. The beach is long and uncrowded compared with some beaches further west and north.

Absolutely phenomenal stay from start to finish. We chose this hotel over a larger resort and we are so glad we did. The hotel manager Hemal helps deliver, with his fantastic team, an absolutely perfect stay. The food is excellent, the property stunning and the ambiance intimate and special. We stayed for 5 nights and would have stayed for longer if we could have. Their spa is also very good and the massage from Susantha was excellent. A premium property offering outstanding service perfect for anyone that wants to feel special and well looked after.

We had a fantastic stay at Kayaam House. The hotel is beautifully designed, the decor is sophisticated and calming. and the hotel has a wonderful setting right on the beach, away from the crowds. We walked along the beach at sunset in the evenings - a perfect way to end the day. It’s very tranquil and we felt very relaxed and spoilt at Kayaam House after having spent the last 3 weeks bike packing around Sri Lanka! The manager, Humal, and his staff go above and beyond to make you feel at home. Their service is always present but not intrusive. We had wonderful breakfasts there every morning and could choose between Sri Lankan and international. We are out at a few of the local restaurants in the evenings but the rice and curry we had at Kayaam house was the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka. The chef and Humal came to discuss our preferences with us and made the most amazing Sri Lankan feast for us. We loved our stay there and would highly recommend a visit!

Beautiful hotel with good food and friendly staff. However the prices of the food en drinks menu are misleading: you should add 10% service taxes and 20% government taxes, which makes the restaurant quite expensive.

We had an exceptional stay at this hotel! The service was impeccable, and the staff went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the amenities exceeded my expectations. From the moment I arrived to the day of departure, the hospitality was outstanding. I highly recommend this hotel for a delightful and stress-free stay. Looking forward to returning in the future!

It was our best staying in Sri Lanka. We totally in love with Tangalle and recommend it to all our friends, because of empty beach, peace and quiet a**osphere. And now we can also recommend this hotel. I choose this hotel because it was so stylish, beautiful and romantic. It was absolutely right choice ! It’s really 5 star hotel with great service. Cuisine was also amazing, unusual and tasty, main chef even had visited us few times. All staff happened to be so helpful, positive and friendly, especially Mithun :) Of course this hotel is far away from everything, but you can have a meal at any nearest restaurant or bar. It’s easy to find it walking along the beach. Road was miserable , but main manager was trying to help and talk with our driver. For us it was not problem at all. We enjoyed our staying and hope to come here again :)

Beautiful property. A sanctuary by the sea. Peaceful, tranquil and ideal for a relaxing stay. Lovely beach and pool. Lifeguard/pool boy very attentive.

This is a unique and beautiful property - if you’re looking to relax, be pampered and eat amazing food in a beautiful picturesque location, Kayaam House is a must. I never write reviews, but I felt compelled to. While it is located in a more remote area (and you may need assistance with the hotel transportation to get to the main roads), the remoteness is worth it.

This was by far the best hotel experience I have ever had. The staff were amazing, service minded but still gave us privacy. Rooms were absolutely fantastic, and the surroundings were great. A calm place next to the beach away from tourists. The food and main chef gave us a great experience with plenty of international and Sri Lankan choices. If you have the chance you should definitely stay here. We did not want to leave and we are coming back next year but then more than two nights. Extra thanks to Ishan the manager that made our stay more than perfect.
