소렐 호텔 크로네(Sorell Hotel Krone)

We booked a superior double room which was very spacious with a couch, armchair and walk in shower. A corner room on a main pedestrianised thoroughfare, we thought it would be noisy, but the windows were soundproof and we slept well. The service from the front desk staff was excellent. The room had a coffee machine but no kettle and some maintenance is needed for the WC flush. Breakfast was adequate although not a huge range. The location was excellent for eating out, shopping and a short 5 minute walk to the train station. It was a quiet, comfortable, relaxing stay for the end of our 5 week European trip. We found the people of Winterthur to be friendly and helpful. It is a great alternative to staying in Zurich as the train is direct to the airport in around 15 minutes.

Awful. Prepare yourself to be locked out if you decide to arrive to your hotel after 10pm. Some keys simply don’t work and there’s no phone to call for emergencies. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Also rude staff

Great location in the city center, might be a challenge with Parking. Lovely rooms, well appointed, modern. Breakfast was a highlight with super friendly and helpful service going out of their way to help We felt that the hotel was just perfect for us, stayed for 5 nights and are considing to come back

Stayed for 3 nights on a business trip. Pleasantly surprised, good hotel, good room, good shower, good restaurant and friendly staff. They answered all my questions immediately before arrival. Location is 5 min walk from the train station. 15-20min train to Zurich airport. Lots of restaurants nearby in lively Winterthur. Above my expectation for a 3 star hotel. Note there is reception during the evenings

Our first time in Winterhur, so we did not know what to expect. The hotel is very well located - coming out of the front you are surrounded by shops and restaurants, and the train station is about 5-10minutes away. The rooms were nice - bed comfortable, and they have a pillow menu as well. The bathrooms are big, with toiletries from RITUALS. They leave little wafer sticks on your bed daily. There's a Nespresso coffee maker as well as a kettle for tea. Breakfast buffet is quite good as well, with mostly, if not all, food items of organic origin. The worst thing about this place is that it's a little hard to locate if you're driving there, as it's located in a pedestrian only area. But that's about it! There's a parking garage that the hotel uses but it's located BEFORE the hotel so after you've unloaded all your luggage, you have to circle back to the parking garage which is just a few steps before the hotel.

Having already experienced the Sorell brand in Switzerland, I chose this hotel for its unbeatable central location and reasonable price. A huge thumbs-up for the whole staff: whether at reception, in the restaurant or during breakfast, each team member was smiling and helpful. I booked a Standard Single Room. Although small, it was comfortable and offered many amenities - including coffee machine, slippers. Bed and mattress of good quality. As usual in Switzerland, room and bathroom spotlessly clean. Unfortunately the whole experience was let down by the incredibly hot temperature in the room: 29°C during the whole night! The air-conditioning was switched on, but only with the ventilator option. I could not get it to work as proper air-conditioning. Needless to say, I slept rather badly. On the positive side, the breakfast buffet made up for the uncomfortable night. Sorell hotels proud themselves on their breakfast offer, and I fully agree. Generous buffet, beautiful presentation, many products coming from local and regional suppliers. Overall an excellent and tasty experience. All in all, a good address for a short stay in Winterthur. But the air-conditioning device must definitely be checked, as it spoiled the whole stay.

We stayed in a 4 person appartment in the attic. Had a nice little kitchen, two big beds. The staff couldn't have been nicer and more accommodating to our 2 young children, we had a nice quiet place to come back and sleep after adventures around the town.

Nous sommes venus fêter notre anniversaire de mariage (comme l'année dernière). L'établissement est très bien situé - rues piétonnes. Tout est super: l'accueil, le personnel aux petits soins, la chambre bien équipée (201). Nous reviendrons!!

Sehr gutes zentral gelegenes Hotel . Preis Leistung ist sehr gut Freundlicher Empfang wir wurden von A-Z verwöhnt Unser Appartement war aussergewöhnlich zusätzlich sind an der Rezeption verschiedene Kissen erhältlich für eine tolle entspannte Nacht Einziger negativer Punkt die Küche servierte zu einem traumhaften Tomahawk Steak einen Kartoffelgratin welcher noch Roh war dafür gieng das Essen meiner Frau das sie Geburtstag hatte auf Kosten des Hauses . Trotzdem werde ich dieses tolle Haus jederzeit gerne wieder berücksichtigen
