イムディーナの歴史的建物群の中にあるホテルです。ホテル内にもレストランがありますが、周囲にも食事をできる場所がたくさんあり、便利です。お部屋はメゾネットタイプになっており、素敵でした。

The staff we encountered were friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. Our room (no 9) overall was excellent, comfortable and well appointed with lots of wardrobe and drawer space. The bathroom was huge with a bath tub and a walk in shower . There was ample surface space for toiletries and a proper door. There were a couple of issues with TVs not working as they should, which was not fully resolved, but staff attempted to do so as soon as we notified them. The quality of the continental (included) breakfast however was disappointing. The fruit platter was small and got smaller each day with less and less variety. The yogurts were basic supermarket-standard and not befitting the expected quality of a prestigious hotel. We did not allow this to ruin what was a lovely stay. If you have the chance to visit this hotel I would recommend you do so.

In addition to being located in one of the most beautiful cities in the world and having an incredible view of the island, I have never experienced such kindness from the staff. Always attentive, ready to advise you and full of little attentions to you, It is completely impossible to be disappointed. We really can't wait to come back. Thank you all for making this trip so magical.

The location on the ramparts, overlooking the plains to the coast attracted us to book. The friendliness and professionalism of the staff, specially Sara and Tommy, delighted us. The cleanliness and decorations were well done and the food was delicious.

The rooms, the locations, the staff - essentially every component of this boutique hotel, was excellent. The rooms have been updates, and our suite (11) was outstanding. We overlooked the piazza. One night we had champagne on our balcony, enjoying every moment at this boutique hotel. This is a special hotel.

Perfectly placed for a short stay in Mdina/Rabat. Our room had a great 180 deg view with Valletta central on the horizon; spacious and well appointed with a particularly fine modern bathroom. A high quality breakfast was served at table on the lovely terrace with this same view. I would recommend taking dinner in the Trattoria. From start to finish, the staff were-without fail-welcoming, helpful and efficient. Recommended.

Xara Palace is *thisclose* to being a perfect hotel. Our agent booked us here for the last night of our honeymoon so that we could experience Mdina at night, and it was a great choice on their part. We were immediately given complimentary prosecco and sparkling water while waiting in the beautiful lobby for staff to finish preparing the room and take our luggage up for us. The suite itself, room no. 8 - deluxe suite with panoramic view, is *nearly* flawless. The bed was comfortable, though the pillows were a bit thin and the comforter too heavy for May weather. The only complaint regarding the bedroom is the air conditioner: there is both a built-in wall control right by the front door that only allows for adjusting fan speed and temperature AND a remote control with more features; however, the system only responded to the built-in wall control and would only click on when the temperature was set to ridiculously cold values (＜15 C), which, of course, the room would never reach. Additionally, there was no need for the 5 PM turndown service, as we were only staying one night. The bathroom was also very nice - very clean, well-lit, nice soaking tub, and we appreciated the toiletry bottles not being watered-down or chained to the shower wall. We would have appreciated a double vanity, but that's a space restriction we can't ding Xara on. However, what we can ding them on, and what reduces our review of Xara Palace from five to four stars, is the fatal error of no working power outlet in the bathroom. There is a euro-plug (why not UK?) "shavers only" outlet next to the mirror that does not, in fact, receive any power - we tested this with multiple devices, including shavers, toothbrushes, the hair dryer, and our own independent power adapter that has a current indicator; no combination of devices or light switches located anywhere in the suite delivered any power to this outlet. This meant that our electric toothbrushes had to be charged in the bedroom using the outlets under the TV and I had to move the shaving mirror to the same location to use the hair dryer, which was, frankly, a ridiculous inconvenience for a hotel at this price point. Additionally, the lower toilet flush button did not work. If Xara Palace wishes to advertise itself as a five-star luxury hotel, it simply cannot afford to make such trivial and simple-to-fix bathroom errors. That all said, we thank Silvia and the Xara Palace team for providing us a wonderful end-of-honeymoon stay!

Fabulous historic hotel in the grounds of Mdina. Comfortable and classy room with views accross Malta one side and a private terrace. Superb bathroom and pretty much everything you would need and expect. Excellent service from friendly and helpful staff.
