Arrived to what looks like a run down warehouse. It does not exude “resort” as in its name. We checked in and went to the room. It was 78 degrees in the room according to the thermostat in the room. The air conditioner would not come on. Checked with front desk and was told the air conditioning for the building was purposely turned off and could not be turned on. We were told to open the windows. Our room was on the ground floor. It has a door and windows that opened to the parking lot. Opening the door was not an option due to safety concerns. The windows were small at the top of the wall. With windows open, we had to listen to all of the vehicles and activities going on in the parking lot most of the night. The rooms and hotel are old and in need of updating. The shower heads barely produced any water. Even the key card that was provided for our room was old and filthy. If you want to use the pool, you have to make a reservation. The pool is only open a few hours a day. You can only reserve it for one hour. Again, this is supposed to be a “resort.” There was no functions restaurant on the property. A resort with no restaurant does not feel like a resort. To make things even worse, the afternoon we arrived, there were no restaurants available around the “resort.” The ones that would open, did not open until after 6:30. The buses stopped running at 7:00. So, since we were there without a vehicle and utilizing the public transportation system, we had to skip dinner while staying at this resort. The beach access appeared to be good and I’m sure is a main attraction for this facility. The breakfast was all package prepared food to include scrambled eggs, undercooked bacon, cereals, pastries, juices, fruit and coffee. These are some of our observations and after speaking with other guests, they had similar impressions. We will not stay here again.
