호텔 야드란(Hotel Yadran Beach Resort)

My husband and I had a nice relaxing time, especially at the pool. The traditional breakfast was delicious and large portions. Hotel is dated but a decent place, the ****** is closed. Entire staff was welcoming and courteous, will stay there again if I go back to Puntarenas (el Puerto).

Hotel has seen better days.... Never knew what would be open, ****** closed except week-ends. Puntarenas has obviously seen better days. Walking around the town at night not safe, this place is pretty much visited by locals from San Jose that can't afford anywhere else.

Firstly, this is NOT a family hotel. We were shocked to see the condition of the room which is beyond description including AC not working, stained bed, extremely dirty and smelly bathrooms and most importantly NOT SAFE AT ALL.! The rooms did not have a proper lock. Most of the things mentioned on the hotel page are incorrect and false information. We had to just book something else in the last minute.

In the first room they gave us, the TV remote didn't work & the shade on the window didn't go down. We were hot & tired from a long trip, but we had to wait while they played around in the room, to try to fix it. Finally, they moved us to another room. There, the hot water was just a trickle. I went to the pool in the morning. It was murky. I couldn't see the bottom. I was paying top dollar for what was a budget experience, at best. Not a good value. Would have to say, never again.

very close to the ferry to get across to Montezuma. Very comfortable. clean & a good breakfast. Sandra was very helpful.

The photos on the ********** are not what the hotel looks like now. Broken steps, saggy mattress, dirty floors, pool water is greenish brown, and the breakfast was horrible as i could not identify the mystery meat. The bathroom was the worst i have ever seen. ********** mislead us to believe the hotel was something it was not.

I had a great experience at Hotel Yadran 3 weeks ago. I got food poisoned and was feeling terrible. The personnel was very caring, they made chicken soup for me even though it was not on the menu, which was made specially for a sick stomach, light and delicious, They were worried about me and gave my husband advice on where to buy medicine, they even gave me lemon with salt, which relieved me a lot. I am very grateful to them for being so nice and their great hospitality. Rooms were clean and with a great beach front view balcony.

This is more like a hostel than a real hotel, especially with the price you pay. Everything is old, not maintained. It is also loud as you are right on the street, and the windows are "open". The AC system is not efficient either. All this, while you pay high dollars for your room. Maybe if this was a $40/room, it would be ok
