Unreliable and unprofessional. They cancel your reservation on their own without letting you know! Be careful. I've booked this place on August 14th on their DIRECT website and I received a cancellation email (saying that "I" cancelled) the next day. I called the property immediately and they said they cancelled my reservation because the price was incorrect (I happened to be lucky to have seen my email, otherwise, I'm in PV with no accommodation because they weren't planning to let me know), although my vacation plan is right the next week. After a few calls and me suggesting if there is any other way, they offered me a unit in their new building that is still under construction with a huge downgrade in views, rooms and amenities which I didn't take. Last resort they offered was I wait another day to see if any other cancellations come up which ended up not happening so I had to let this go instead of wasting more time, but rather looking for a new place in a week when all the prices have already gone up. I'm a frequent traveler who's been to 35 countries yet this such irresponsible cancellation (on their own DIRECT booking site) and unprofessional services afterwards were very new and scary experience. Conclusion: no matter what pricing they give you on their website, DO NOT TRUST because they will cancel if they can find somebody who can pay more than you.

Beautiful property in an excellent location. Romantic zone was a short 10 min walk and everything was close by. We were pleasantly surprised with the hotel, the pool with the amazing view and the absolutely perfect service by the staff……..

First the great things about this property- the staff are very welcoming and friendly, it is very clean and it is beautifully situated on a hill outside of old town overlooking the ocean. It has a very relaxed vibe with two infinity pools. The rooms are also beautifully appointed with lots of neutrals, stone, tile and wood. It also has one of the best, cleanest and largest gyms I’ve seen in years at a hotel/condo with a great selection of free weights, machines and cardio equipment. It’s also not a hotel but a condominium residence with several “hotel like rooms.” So if you run into problems as I did you often are left to your own devices without the services of a traditional hotel like a “front desk.” Case in point, management asked me to change my room a day after checking in. I happily agreed as I was offered a better room, but I had to wait several hours to move after being told to pack-up. Then as soon as i moved i discovered the room safe didn’t work - you have to text someone for help and wait for a response. Total wait time for safe fix 2 hours. Then I came back to the room -which had 4 doors that locked only to discover that the key didn’t work on the door to the bathroom and dressing room. So I texted and waited, and waited, and waited - then I went to the security guard downstairs and explained the situation. Total wait time to get into my room and the lock fixed- 3 hours. My original texts for help from the “virtual concierge” went unanswered. Once again the staff were super helpful and friendly, but I feel I missed a complete day of my vacation trouble shooting problems with the room change that would have been quickly addressed had I stayed in a traditional hotel.

The only hotel/ resort I have ever felt satisfied with. The hotel resort was a surprise for me and I was absolutely blown away. From the room to the Infiniti pools to the breakfast oh my goodness. Everything was phenomenal. I truly think the photos don’t even do it justice. I stayed in the couples suite with the private plunge pool which was also temperature controlled. Reception staff was very friendly & general staff as well. Maxwell at Indah is Puerto Vallartas best kept secret and I can’t wait to stay here again!

I had a great stay at the Maxwell. Staff were friendly and very helpful. My room was always cleaned and always restocked. The only complaint would be beach access. It’s not as accessible as an oceanfront hotel should be. The concierge Alex was very helpful throughout my stay.

This place is beautiful, exceptionally well-managed, has great food, and is a wonderful, safe place to stay. Highly recommend staying here with friends as well as family! The concierge can help you book any activity you want to do.

We were pretty bummed that the whole rooftop was closed for repairs. However, our stay at Maxwell was great and we have nothing to complain about. Room was very clean and comfy. Great amenities with nice pool and restaurant/bar. We’d def stay here again!

The host was nice and the check in process was easy. The staff was welcoming and attentive, ready to serve and meet needs.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise. We were worried about not being in the romantic zone, but it was a quick 10 minute walk away from the action. Excellent service and a nice quiet pool!
