When we go for a holiday, we do not want to lie by a pool or on a beach. We want to travel round and see the area. It definitely is not a resort hotel and not really suitable for young families, but this hotel really suited our requirements. It is situated near the airport and at the end of a good beach, the Playa Blanca. It is fairly isolated so a car is necessary, though there is a bus stop just outside the gate. However it can suffer from some aircraft noise. We found it to be very clean, the staff very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was well stocked even with bacon and eggs. The restaurant menu was quite good and the food nicely presented. The bedrooms are a nice size and most have balconies overlooking the sea. Ours had a small table and chairs so we could sit out. There was an good seating area on the terrace which made the most of the morning sun but was also quite pleasant later on in the shade. The free WiFi was quite fast. Being situated in the middle of the island made it very convenient for us to travel to both ends of teh island as well as across. we would certainly stay there again. The reason we only gave it 4 stars instead of five was the potential for aircraft noise.

Hotel Tamasite could hardly be more central, just a few yards uphill from Puerto del Rosario's harbour. The rooms are clean and the manager helpful. And the prices charged are more than reasonable. On the other hand, the facilities are limited; there's no food, not even breakfast, and as other reviewers have noted the hotel backs onto what must be the town's only discotheque, which was at full volume until 3 a.m. on the Saturday night we stayed there. That apart, if you want a base for a short stay in Fuerteventura's capital, this does the job well.

Stayed here for 2 weeks in March with our 3 year old and had a great time. Apartments nice and spacious and cleaners came in regular, always had fresh towels and toilet roll topped up. We had a downstairs apartment so could enjoy the patio area next to the pool, the pool is the coldest I’ve ever been in on holiday but our little boy didn’t mind that much. The hotel does tend to get shade over half of it so we did end up with all the people from the shaded half pulling beds up right outside our patio area which was a bit annoying but we spent most days out at the beach anyway. The staff are really nice and friendly and happy to help. The all inclusive was nice enough, as a vegetarian I often struggle for options eating out so when in foreign countries I expect to be eating the same thing. My partner as a meat eater had plenty to choose from and always enjoyed his meals. We loved the location as it’s really quiet and the walk along the seafront down to Caleta is just beautiful, there’s loads of chipmunks along the way that are so tame and you can buy peanuts to feed them from any food shop and they come straight to you and take the food, our little boy loved it and we enjoyed that walk every day before stopping off at Caleta for food and drinks and then walked further on to the big shopping centre as we preferred the beach down that way, it’s a big walk but if you enjoy walking it’s a beautiful route. We only spent the last 2 days in lockdown which compared to others we were definitely one of the lucky ones, the hotel handled it all great and everything was straight forward. We would definitely stay at this hotel again as there’s nothing to grumble about at all.

Having read the previous reviews my expectations were not too high. On arrival we were greeted warmly and taken to our room to have a look around before being handed the key (nice touch). The lady asked if we needed anything else a hairdryer perhaps but I had taken my own. We did notice we did not have a microwave ans she said she would sort it but did we need it that evening, We said no and a brand new one was delivered to our room next day. The pool bar food and drinks are very good value as are the pizzas from the pizzeria. The entertainment is the best I have seen in any 4/5 star hotel. The zumba classes and line dancing are popular with locals but that brings in extra people and money for the venue. All 3 of the musical acts we saw were excellent. The surroundings are barren and have suffered with buildings being half finished. One you are through the Reception you could be anywhere and please do not let that put you off,
