The accommodation was tired at best, some would describe as dilapidated. Unsafe electrics with bare wires, deep internal cracks along the side of the living area that made us feel unsafe (a local told us that similar units in that area of the complex had to be demolished a few years ago), kitchen units with peeling veneer and doors / drawers that won’t close, sofas with worn and peeling pvc covering. The staff are the one plus on the complex, very friendly and helpful, but I expect that from someone employed in hospitality to be fair. As Roy Keane would say, that’s their job. We used to holiday here regularly 3 or 4 times a year, booking direct with the complex, but I doubt we will return again as they are falling behind by neglecting basic maintenance.

Such a lovely hotel, wonderful polite, friendly & helpful staff, maids, bar, restaurant, kitchen & reception all were amazing. The hotel itself is made of of little ‘bungalows’, each with their own outside terrace & some privacy. Everywhere is immaculate, there are steps but also where possible ramps so suitable for all. Due to the proximity to the airport you can hear planes going over, but it’s not that intrusive. Within a couple of minutes you can walk to the beach & promenade where there are plenty of restaurants & little shops. Lovely hotel & location for a 4 night break with my daughter.

Wanting to stay in a self-catering apartment for a 4 week stay in Lanzarote, after much research and endless reading of reviews, we settled on Ilunion Costa Sal. I can honestly say we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. Check-in was very smooth. Arriving after 3 p.m., the room was available for immediate use. The apartments are spread around the complex, so a map is given, which indicates where you are situated , and all information you need for your stay is included. Check out time's etc. We had booked a 1 bedroom apartment, and we were thrilled to have been allocated a ground floor one , with a garden and our own sunbeds! The room was very clean, and the kitchenette had the luxury of an oven, which proved very handy. Utensils are basic but adequate to cook a simple meal. The bed, although on the firm side , was comfortable. There was ample storage in a large wardrobe for clothing and plenty of coat hangers. There is aircon, but only in the living area, not the bedroom. Cleaning is done 2 days out of every 3, and all the staff are very friendly. Towel change is on request. There is a restaurant which is available, and from what I could see, they did have speciality nights, but we never dined in there, so I can't comment . The pool area by our apartment was lovely. However, for quite a few days , it was very windy, so it was quite vacant. You are given pool towels, which can be changed every 7 days. There is no deposit and no charge per change. This is a quiet establishment, to my knowledge, there is no entertainment which suited us perfectly. If you're after pool aerobics, then this wouldn't be for you, and a large proportion of the residents are elderly. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We had a couple of minor things to sort whilst there, and they always made sure everything was sorted to our approval. There was always a good morning from everyone. The location is excellent! You are not far from several supermarkets, and there is even an on-site shop that has freshly baked bread ready for 9.30am prompt.😁 Lots of bars and restaurants of a varied cuisine are well within walking distance, are a reasonable price, and good quality. If you like to walk, Puerto del Carmen is doable and is a very pleasant walk along the sea front. There is also a bus stop opposite and taxis are readily available. To conclude, we had a fabulous stay and hope to return in the future.

Third time visit and it still has that vibe about it , from arrival to departure. Had to wait for our lovely 2 bed appointment with a beautiful sea view. We had bed and breakfast which was buffet style which was fine . Only change was the buffet style food in the evening , where before we had a meal brought to the table and a nice selection of choices . There were 3 original staff left from the last visit , and it was nice to meet up with them . The small shop and its staff were friendly and had most of the things you needed for a self catering apartment. On the whole if you want a clean quiet stay this place is perfect. Cab from the airport was €16 arriving and €13 back . I’ll definitely be back next year for my little bit of winter sunshine

Our first visit to lanzarote and we will return a lot. The hotel was perfect, at check in we were given a free upgrade to a two bedroom bungalow. The bungalow was huge with great facilities and we had the most perfect spot within the complex. Pool area was stunning. Onsite shop was handy and good value. Staff were all helpful and always smiling. Our son stayed in one of the one bed apartments and that was great too. The whole complex is stunning and extremely clean the grounds are well looked after. The hotel is really close to the beach only a couple of minutes walk. Plenty of shops bars and restaurants also only a few minutes walk away. Don’t hesitate if you are considering this hotel. We will definitely stay here again

Great hotel,we stayed in room 212 really spacious apartment, huge bed good kitchen area and lounge,outside area quite large with table four chairs and sun loungers.Apartment got sun all day and great views of sea and mountains.Bus stops outside so easy and cheap access to most resorts.Didn't eat at hotel so can't comment on food.All in all great place to stay and we would stay again
