Honest review of the Rui Parasio The good: The hotel is well positioned right opposite the each. The food, whilst repetitive, is tasty, hot and plentiful. There is always something to eat, even for the most fussy eater. The a la carte restaurants were nice, but still buffet style. The space is well kept and the staff work really hard. The entertainment is good, you can choose whether you want to watch the show, or listen to the singer. The bed was very comfy. The not so good: Despite choosing the hotel for a special anniversary, I emailed the hotel to ask for a nice room, we were put at the side of the hotel opposite the tennis court. When we got to the room, it hadn’t been cleaned properly, I found filthy towels in the drawers left over from the previous occupants. There is a large flat screen telly, but with no remote control. The rooms are basic but have what you need. The bathroom was fine, however our shower used to leak under the door and pool water. We also had an issue with the shower where it would scald you and then freeze you within seconds. We had someone look at it but they couldn’t fix it and with only 3 days left of our holiday we decided to deal with it rather than have the pain of changing rooms. My hairdryer tripped the fuse box when I was using it, so bear in mind if you’re bringing your own and you have a lot of hair to dry like me. This is a basic all inclusive. The drinks are cheap and not very nice (for me). I resorted to drinking the cava and then buying my own wine at the shop and taking it to dinner with me. The gym is very basic. There are a few running machines, a cross trainer and a handful of weights. However there are no open spaces to use the weights/do floor work. It’s tiny. We ended up joining a local gym, a 30 min walk away so that we could get our work outs in. Thank you Star Gym. All in all it was a nice stay at the hotel, but we wouldn’t return.
