April 2024. "This is the second time both of us have been here on holiday. It hasn't changed much, although there are some new staff members and some who recognized us from our last trip, a year and a half later. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. We chose to go Privilege again, as it's a nice feeling to be able to sit back and relax. The weather is beautiful, although we did experience rain one day. Even the manager apologized for the rain. One additional thing we noticed by the pool was a disabled chair lift, which is great for keeping up with the times. We would also like to mention Vincente, a staff member who was always attentive to our needs. He was just as helpful as the last time we met him. It's a great place to stay and chill, and to switch off from work and all the things that bring you down. We both plan to come back, but we might try H10 Ocean in Jamaica first." Thank You to All the staff that made our holiday special. Also, we are still here for two more days.

Whilst the hotel is very clean and our sea facing room was mostly fine (mattresses were very hard and we asked for softer ones as I had back surgery and the mattress caused pain. They put a topper on each bed which helped very little.), you have to pay to use the safe and there was no tea/coffee making facility in the room so it was just as well we took a travel kettle. The rooms would benefit from an information folder advising how the hotel worked and what services were available as we had to ask the brusk reception staff about certain things. For instance, my sister went to get ice cream from the pool bar (they said it was on the all inclusive plan) but she wasn’t allowed to take them as reception had put ‘credits’ on our room - very embarrassing in front of fellow guests!! The reception staff (all except one lady) made us feel like an inconvenience! The food….at best it was lukewarm and some offerings were virtually cold (I don’t know if you’ve tried cold watery brussel sprouts?). We had to eat more bread to fill us. When we checked out we were asked by a male member of staff if we’d experienced tummy trouble during our stay - make of that what you will!! This short break was expensive given we were actually only there for 5 nights and we certainly wish we’d chosen elsewhere.

I was a little uneasy after reading all of the complaints on here before I travelled. However, don't listen to a single word. I have stayed in many hotels and this one is up there with some of the best. The location is one of the best I've stayed in..right on the bay, amazing views of the surfers, and on the main promenade. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. We had a medical incident during our stay, and the staff went over and above. Yes the restaurant does get busy during popular times but the variety of food for every diet is amazing. We stayed half board and absolutely loved the variety for breakfast. The rooms were cleaned daily and the whole hotel is spotless. All in all a brilliant stay, and yes I will certainly be back!!

I stayed in this hotel for 5 nights, good location, good breakfast , but stuff was not friendly , reception was not helpful , room with no any kind of amenities , lifts very small. Anyway good location , good area , and restaurant. No parking , no ref in rooms , no electric kettle , no slipper . For my next stay , I won’t prefer this hotel

This is a lovely hotel. Spotlessly clean, great facilities, wonderful staff, food ok for the type of property BUT there is this weird “privilege” ranking for guests that absolutely ruined the experience. You pay a premium rate to stay here. In our case we spent more to upgrade our room but then found that there is a two tier system applied. In essence, premium guests sit in a mezzanine restaurant looking down on the plebs. We are served singles glasses of wine and spend every meal trying to catch the eye of over worked waiters to ask for another. We had to sit in the same garden restaurant for lunch (again segregated seating) watching them have an extensive menu of what looks to be, lovely food whilst our options were rubbish burgers, hot dogs or other cheap and poorly prepared other choices. I cannot describe how humiliating this was and we have never felt so poorly treated. I’m certain that the stock response from the hotel will be “we are sorry but hope you’ll come again etc.” Well we won’t- there are plenty of terrific hotels that TUI offer that make you feel appreciated- H10 don’t with this ridiculous segregation, so my advice is to choose another or, if you feel drawn by the location - go B&B and take advantage of the many local bars and restaurants.

I stayed for 2 weeks in January. I have often been a guest in H10 hotels - none of which have disappointed. However, the Tenerife Playa was the exception. Clearly some refurbishment has been done in the bathrooms (attractive tiling and fittings) but the remainder is definitely overdue care and attention. I realise this is an old hotel, but even so. The staff are welcoming and efficient. The main area which needs huge improvement is the food - which is mediocre. Hot soup tasted of absolutely nothing - but was hot. All Main dishes had a brown "sauce" which was also tasteless. Even the salads were lacking - why no tomatoes ? or "french" dressing - just something to add some taste. One night I had a slice of pork (what could go wrong ?) and declined the "sauce". The meat was so tough I requested a sharper knife from the maitre D. I tried the replacement with no success and asked the Maitre D to try - he also failed ! This is the only hotel where the best thing was the bread at breakfast !

Magdalena was very rude when we were checking in because we questioned a group of Germans that walked straight to the front of the queue , unless you’re a privileged guest you’re treated like a second class citizen, had to queue for every meal when there was an equal sized restaurant for privileged guests that was occupied by around 20 to 30 guests, the only sun beds that got the morning sun were reserved by the pool staff for privileged guests . Food was awful , we ate out most nights. The only positive about this hotel was the bar staff in the evenings ,always smiling, polite and pleasant, Booked with TUI for years now usually a Sensatori or TUI Blue and never been denied access to any restaurants or sun beds
