카살레 로마노 리조트(Casale Romano Resort e Relais)

Very poor communication. Our holiday was cancelled due to fires at the airport and they still took our money. We tried to contact the hotel and we got no response. Very poor. Also, very bad manners to still take a cleaning fee for a stay we were unable to take.

A nice place to stay

A perfect combination of tradition and history and amenities of a modern hotel in an old building surrounded by an orange and olive orchard and lots of greenery with modern comfortable rooms and apartments. As we stayed here during low season, we happened to be the only guests for the night, but we were welcomed very professionally by the staff and the owner looked after us very enthusiastically in the evening and gave us an interesting tour of the premises in the mornining, introducing us to all the fruits they produce. We were not able to taste the dinner praised by many high-season travellers as this is not offered this time of the year, but in our apartment we found a well-equipped kitchen to cook our own food. Compared to some of the older pictures here on Tripadvisor, there has been a recent upgrade of the dining area in front of the house: it is now a glass annex building with proper dining tables. Looked very light and nice! The pool was the favourite of our son and we enjoyed some refreshing baths in the sun as we were really lucky with the weather. We can highly recommend the location for visiting the Alcantara river and to catch a view of the Etna mountain from the nearby mountain village of Motta Camastra. Unfortunately we did not have more days to spare, otherwise there would be plenty of interesting things (town & villages, some castles and ruins, hiking) to fill more days.

La struttura dispone di molte camere, ed ha anche un proprio ristorante interno. I proprietari sono veramente gentili e disponibili, sapranno darvi informazioni preziose per visitare i dintorni. Camera e bagni spaziosi, colazione buona anche con prodotti fatti in casa. ho avuto la possibilità di cenare nel ristorante ed è stata un ottima opportunità di assaggiare i sapori tipici della cucina di zona, un pesce spada alla griglia veramente ottimo, per non parlare del primo al pesto di noci. La struttura è silenziosa ed è un ottimo posto per rilassarsi oltre che per poter visitare le gole dell’Alcantara, le cantine vitivinicole dell’Etna tra Castiglione e Randazzo, oppure una bella gita a Taormina.

Approdiamo nel resort dopo un faticoso viaggio costiero con un caldo torrido. Qui troviamo il fresco dell'Etna, il calore dell'accoglienza ed un menù serale ottimo con buona lista di vini. Prima però un rilassante bagno in piscina. Si dorme senza aria condizionata perché c'è un bel fresco nelle camere assai confortevoli. Al mattino buona colazione dopo una passeggiata nel bel giardino. Che volete di più?

Un gîte d’étape tout à fait acceptable. Des hôtes attentifs et attentionnés. Petit déjeuner sans viennoiserie mais avec des confitures maison.

Hôtel idéalement situé à coté des gorges de l'Alcantara et de Taormine. Chambre spacieuse et propre. Ici tout est fait maison. La cuisine est faite tous les matins avec attention. Un jardin agréable avec des citronniers et des orangers. une joli piscine à l'abri des regards.

Quando si è in una struttura dove si è circondato da giardini di agrumi, in un'oasi di pace e tranquillità, dove i proprietari ti fanno sentire uno di casa, dove tutto il personale gentile e sorridente fa di tutto per accontentarti, passano in secondo piano le stanze pulite e ampie, la piscina, la Spa, la colazione abbondante e il ristorante con piatti buoni ed espressi. Sicuramente da tornarci in quanto si è in un angolo di paradiso a due passi dall'Etna, da Taormina e praticamente dentro le gole dell'Alcantara.
