From the moment we arrived until we left we felt at home, a fantastic welcome from Angelo and his staff and a nice upgrade to a room with a sea view. The service was top notch throughout our stay, as was breakfast, lunch and dinner. We can happily recommend the restaurant, we ate the Michelin menu on the first day and the classic menu on the second day, both were really good. Unfortunately we were at the hotel just when they opened and due to the weather we couldn't sit outside and eat which was a shame as the view from the veranda is breathtaking. Otherwise the pool bar was very nice too with really good service, the indoor bar was also without any complaints. Something we definitely want to highlight is the gym, the gym is important in a hotel. 5 star Mediterranean hotels normally don't have any particularly fun gyms, Il Pellicano offers without comparison the best gym we have visited in a hotel - regardless of star rating. Good machines, friendly staff and order. Finally something important if you drive Italian, good parking with plenty of space where you don't have to worry about whether your car is still whole and clean the next day - Il Pellicano offers valet parking with a fantastically nice garage. We could write much much more, we can only recommend the hotel and will come back many times. We thank Angelo and his staff for two fantastic days and nights, the service was not only good it was going the extra mile.

We have spent our second stay at il Pellicano, four gorgeous days in July 2024. We were three friends and had the Garden Junior Suite F5. It has a big bathroom with two sinks, bathtub and walk-in shower in the typical Pellicano style. The suite has a nice walk-in closet, a living room opened to the bedroom. Outside it has a big terrace with sunbeds. What we love of the Il Pellicano is its style. The rosemary bushes are trimmed like clouds. The entire resort, the restaurants, pool, beach, Guests (and even the wasps) seem to be more stylish than in other hotels. You can somehow still feel the old golden times. The staff is extremely friendly and committed in making each guest feel comfortable. We especially loved the lobby, the bar and the piano, live music filling the rooms and the air makes a special atmosphere. And, when you’re at the pool and hear the open bar speakers playing Mia Martini “Almeno tu nell’Universo”, then you know, this hotel has style. We also appreciate the children policy. I think minimum age starts at 10. Please dear Management of the Pellicano, don’t lower again the minimum age (sorry families, but without small children it’s indeed more pleasant). Grazie e a presto

A 5-star oasis, for sure. Beautiful environs — our second visit in as many years! The pool, the beach club! The only complaints: the bugs (pro-tip: bring repellant for the mosquito and beware of the wasps at meal times) and a relatively limited culinary offering.

I wanted to love this hotel — after a few years of seeing it everywhere — but just didn’t. The grounds are beautiful but the service is lacking. It’s the little things that make a hotel feel luxurious and this one doesn’t have them. Absolutely everything felt transactional — when a shirt needed a quick press coming out the suitcase and we called for an iron or steamer we were told there are none on premises but we can pay for it to be pressed and returned tomorrow. Not helpful when I want to wear it tonight. This is also the only hotel in all our stays in Italy where cocktails do not come with snacks of some sort complimentary. At this price point, the last thing a guest should feel is that the hotel is nickel and diming. I’m glad we went to experience it, but wouldn’t return.

Il Pelicano is elegant yet casual. The setting and view are magnificent. I first came to Il Pelicano in the 1960s and I love to revisit this beautiful and very special place. You will be charmed by the friendly and accommodating staff. It’s truly top notch!

Beautiful view and good food. Gym is great. Service is average, specifically when we shifted rooms and it took three and half hours to get the new room. The service in the pool, at the restaurant and at the beach is good. Rooms rates are very high. Overall it’s a nice place.
