시칠리아스 레지던스 호텔 아트 & 스파(Sicilia's Art Hotel & Spa)

My husband and I stayed here for 2 weeks while touring parts of Eastern Sicily with tour group, You, Me,& Sicily. This place was one of the best, cleanest, most relaxing, and accommodating places we’ve stayed at. The staff was amazing and the views are incredible. We could see Mt. Etna from our suite. We had our own patio, kitchen, and washer, which was an added bonus. The restaurant food was delicious and the outside seating was welcoming and relaxing.

Very disappointing hotel, certainly not for the seasoned traveller, and completely misrepresented on the website. Alarm bells should have rung when we were asked to pay in full in advance (non refundable). The hotel looks beautiful on the website, with a lovely pool, grounds and gardens, and we were looking forward to spending the last leg of our holiday at Sicilia’s villa, relaxing in the grounds and garden. Instead we were taken to a hideous block of flats that does not feature on the website, and the promised views of the sea, countryside and especially of Etna, magically transformed into a horrible residential area, streets and car park. We refused the room immediately, reception promised us another room, but it was not available for another day, and having toured the grounds and finding one average sized pool, serving at least 3 buildings that was crowded and nowhere to sit, we refused to check in. Staff were not sympathetic, just saying you have already paid and we will not refund you. I got the impression it was a sketch that they have practised many times before. I was not going to spoil the last leg of my holiday and stay. We were then under pressure to find alternative accommodation at the last minute. Please see attached photos and CHECK GOOGLE EARTH for the location and the residential area before you book. The website is done beautifully but is completely misrepresentative. I had booked a superior double room with a view of Etna and was expecting to be in the grounds and garden of a lovely villa, not stuck in an apartment block. The staff refuse to communicate or refund my money on the basis of misrepresentation, I feel like I have been conned. Full marks for managing to make Etna disappear though.

We loved our stay in this beautiful hotel away from the bustle of the tourist area. The hotel is off the beaten track but with a car everything is easily accessible. The hotel grounds are lovely, the room we had was spacious, very clean and we felt very comfortable. We even got an upgrade. Breakfast was fantastic and the staff were friendly and very accommodating. A really lovely place to spend a few days. Etna and other places are easy to reach by car. Highly recommended.

Melissa, Salvo and the staff, nothing was to much trouble. Restaurant was top notch ( as was the wine). Stayed in royal suite with jacuzzi, spotless clean and done everyday. Used the spa, Nello and Sabrina where really good for a massage out on the roof terrace. Etna trip organised by hotel , highly recommend using personal guide Jacko, great English and very knowledgeable. Defo be returning A *

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We are a family of 6 and had an appartment with adjoining bedrooms and small balcony terrace overlooking the swimming pool. The room set up was perfect for us. The hotel is spotlessly clean. There are two swimming pools to enjoy. Convenient free onsite parking. Breakfast in the hotel was really good with lots of variety. The staff were very accommodating and friendly, eg assisting to heat up baby milk for me several times daily and assisting to make small amendments at breakfast to cater for dietary requirements. The roof terrace of this hotel has spectacular views of Etna and the sea… it is available for everyone to go and sit up there We would happily stay at this hotel again. Within walking distance, there is a local pizzeria and within a 5-10 minute drive there are plenty of restaurants at Acitrezza. We also took a taxi to explore Catania which can be arranged for you at reception Overall a wonderful stay. It’s a great choice.

Lovely little hotel, just what you want if you just want to relax! Amazing food, friendly staff and clean. We stayed for 3 nights just as a little break. I wouldn’t say it caters for children food wise although the pool is suitable and a small play park. The only issue is that it’s not easily accessible to the town- unless driving you will require a taxi to get around.

Wonderful hotel, staff are super friendly and helpful, our room was big and spacious. The restaurant does great breakfast lunch and dinner and it’s a great location for exploring. The best part for us was the wine tasting with Raffaele, if you go I strongly recommend you ask for it. He’s a great guide and takes you through four great wines.

We stayed in this hotel for our 10th wedding anniversary , first time away since having our son, so it was to be special. And special it was! We had the new panoramic suite, wow! Fantastic view of the sea and Etna ! Lovely comfy bed, housekeeping daily and an amazing suite. The staff at this hotel can’t do enough for you, they make it so easy, by using WhatsApp to communicate. It is fairly remote so you likely will want a cab a lot, the hotel has a cab man , Salvador, he is so nice! Always on time , you can text him as he isn’t fluent in English but we made him laugh by using the Italian speaking app on the iPhone ! This hotel truly is amazing, it’s beautifully decorated in super modern decor, 2 lovely pools , and beautiful outdoor seating areas. We ate breakfast all 3 mornings and there was ample choice, lovely coffee etc, and we also had 1 evening meal, also really lovely. If you want a peaceful relaxing time then this is the place for you. Only wish we had gone when it was a bit warmer! Shout out the dark young girl who wears a ponytail on reception, she was so helpful! Also Raphaele, he’s super helpful too and also passionate about his wines! And again Salvador the taxi man. Thank you guys for making our special weekend one to remember :-)

We really enjoyed our stay at this luxurious hotel, which was well maintained and had a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. The breakfast was good, with a wide assortment of savoury and sweet options. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, especially when we had to extend our stay due to a fire at the airport. There is an amazing view from the roof terrace with Mt Etna one side and the coastline on the other. A car would be useful, as it's a little way out of town up quite a steep hill. There is a really good pizzeria (Gamase) just up the hill a bit.
