부티크 호텔 빌라 잔리카(Villa Gianlica)

We have been on a 3 week trip through Italy and this hotel by far has been the BEST! Marika at the hotel communicated with me via email before the trip helping me plan things to do for 10 of our friends. The hotel is the most beautiful property I’ve ever seen. The lunch they served when we arrived was amazing!!! We would definitely go back. Praiano is quiet but it is easy to travel to other cities. Best restaurant was In Pirato incredible views and delicious food!

Easy location form the SITA bus stop. We underestimated the logistics of getting around Amalfi area, but very convenient close to the local bus and the larger bus to get to further away destinations. Hotel was also super helpful booking a last minute excursion to Capri. And breakfast in the garden was just so peaceful overlooking the water. Beautifully maintained, quiet hotel . We loved our stay

The hotel is beautiful and the staff were amazing. Very helpful with all inquiries. They organise transfers if you require them, dinner reservations and will assist you with whatever you need. Couldn't rate this place any higher. It is absolutely beautiful. If you know how to ride a bike i would recommend hiring a scooter as it makes it a lot easier to travel around the Amalfi Coast and there is parking right outside the hotel. The buses can get extremely packed and at times you may not fit on. Do your self a favour and stay at this hotel.

This place is a gem. I am not sure if the words that will follow in this review will do it justice but I will try. Firstly, the staff. They made our 6 night stay. Marika, Tomaso and Silvio are the most wonderfully witty and helpful individuals who will make you feel part of the family. Nothing was too hard - they made great restaurant recommendations, explained how to get around, how to do laundry and catch the bus, and taught my husband horrible Italian. The chef in the kitchen and all the other staff were equally as wonderful, I just didn’t sadly catch their names! The gardens. If you love eating fresh food that has been grown within a 0km radius - this is your place. Breakfast is plentiful with savory dishes, such as eggs and a range of veggie sides, and sweet items including cakes and fresh fruit. (Highly recommend an omelette and loading it up with all the eggplant, tomatoes and onions from the garden!) We also stayed and had lunch on the property twice. After we ordered, the staff would ask the brilliant gardener (who’s name I also never caught) to go gather the fresh produce. It resulted in some of the best pastas we had in Italy. Location - perfect. If you think you are “settling” by staying in Praiano over Positano, think again. Towns like the Amalfi and Positano are very crowded with day trippers, so it’s nice to visit but then retreat to a quiet secluded slice of the world. You feel like a local in Praiano. Restaurants - so many good ones nearby. Kasai is the top of our list. We loved it so much we went back a second time and ordered the same dishes again! Il Pino and La Strada also excellent. The beach. Yes the stairs are brutal but it’s worth it. Swim off the concrete or rent sun loungers at Il Pirata and enjoy a day on the water. The room - we stayed in room 10 and loved it. We had a private terrace with sun loungers and chairs overlooking the water. Felt like we had a private Villa most of the time as we only saw people at breakfast. Air con was the best we have had in Europe so far and helped on the hot days. We will miss this slice of the world - we hope you enjoy!

This is an absolute gem of a place. The location and area are perfect if you don’t want to stay in the bustle of nearby places like Positano and Amalfi but are close enough to visit easily. The view from the hotel is simply stunning. We had the big terrace and spent hours just staring at the sea. The staff are super friendly and have excellent local knowledge and will help with restaurant bookings etc. The food is gorgeous with many ingredients coming from the stunning grounds. We spent a lot of time at the hotel, enjoying the spotless facilities and food and wine. We visited other places but loved this hotel and Praiano the most. It is so chilled and relaxing and we loved every minute. We actually got engaged here too! Thank you so much for an amazing holiday! See you again soon I hope!

Amazing experience with the best hosts and hostesses. Would definitely come back to praiano just for the exceptional time we had at this hotel. Merika and Tomaso made the stay worthwhile and helped us with booking tours/ planning our trip. Overall 10/10.

Not close to anything. It was a lot of steps to get to the beach. we had a cruise scheduled for Capri that didn’t go because of the weather. only one pizza restaurant within walking distance. The balcony had a nice view of the ocean

We loved everything about Gianlica! The room had a beautiful garden/terrace with stunning views of Amalfi coast. The pool area was amazing with lounge chairs and umbrellas as well as pool side service for drinks and appetizers. The breakfast included all fruits and vegetables from the garden at the hotel. The breakfast was fresh and included many options such as eggs, omelettes, fresh juices, pastries and Italian delights. Make sure you take a walk around the beautiful garden! Tomaso, Silvio, Marika and the entire staff made us feel at home and part of the Villa Gianlica family. They made reservations for us at IL Pino (which included a taxi service to and from the restaurant at no cost), Kasai and One Fire Beach club. They provided detailed instructions on how to use the bus transportation. Our AC was not working properly so they generously gave us a fan to use which made the room a lot cooler. I recommend taking a private transfer/taxi to get to Villa Gianlica as the buses were not on time and the roads are very narrow and difficult to navigate with luggage. We highly recommend this hotel for a quiet stay in a quaint little town away from the crowds.

We loved our stay in Praiano at Villa Gianlica. It was so peaceful and relaxing. We loved the pool chairs and the daily breakfasts with an amazing view. It was only a short walk to both the beach and town centre. Would definitely stay here again.
