B&B 라 바르베라(B&B la Barbera)

I cannot express just how incredible this place truly is!!!! I feel as though I died and went to heaven!!!! My husband and I are here for our 35th wedding anniversary. Not only is La Barbera stunningly beautiful, but Sylvia, Francesco and Roberto (2 brothers who own it) are so incredibly nice and helpful. They make u feel like your family from the start! It’s our first day here and we are so happy that we chose this bed and breakfast to stay at! It’s going to be hard to leave! The attention to detail, the cleanliness and the sheer beauty is truly remarkable. We will definitely be back, but we will enjoy the next 5 days first:) The pictures are one thing, but in real life, your breath will be taken away! So grateful and appreciative to be staying here! If you are in the area, this is a MUST! Definitely at the top of my list and I have been to some amazing places. You won’t regret it! GO!

This was by far our favorite place we stayed while on our honeymoon. La Barbera treats you like family from the second you arrive and is simply perfection. It is so so so beautiful there, from the decor to the views, and they have thought of everything to make their guests’ stays perfect. The breakfast was incredible (try the yogurt!!) and the staff amazing. They had great recommendations for us and treat their guests so well. The location is perfect and Praiano is such a charming town. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay— we will absolutely be back!!! Can’t say enough good things about this b&b— highly highly recommend!!!

We had the most wonderful stay at B&B La Barbera while celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary in Italy! The views are incredible, the rooms are beautiful, and the staff was so friendly, knowledgeable of the area, and accommodating. From the service to the accommodations, everything was truly 5 star! Staying here was the highlight of our trip!

Five stars and more! Believe the hype! Everything about La Barbera is 5 stars. . . from the dinner recommendations and tour arrangements they helped me coordinate before our arrival to the well-appointed rooms and decadent breakfast menu. Roberto, Francesco and the entire La Barbera team were simply a delight. It was our anniversary and we were surprised to find a bouquet and card waiting for us in the room when we checked in - wow! We couldn't have imagined a better experience - we highly recommend the hotel and hope we get to visit the property again soon!

You make your way through this winding, picturesque town along the Alamfi coast that is Praiano, and you land at B&B La Barbera (if you're lucky enough). There, you're welcomed with a warmth as if you've known them your entire life. Before settling into your suite, you're invited to sit on the patio to soak in the spectacular views of the Amalfi coast while enjoying freshly baked cake, a cappuccino and an ice cold Peroni. What a first impression. The Team: Silvia, Roberto, Francesco, Gelsomina and Anna are the kindest, warmest people you will meet. You will instantly feel that your comfort is their top priority. They will make sure your visit is completely stress-free - if you need reservations to a great restaurant in town, they'll make it happen. If you need directions, they're there for you. You could not be in better hands. The Property: Immaculately maintained and so thoughtfully designed and curated. You could eat off the floors. It is so evident that there is a level of pride of ownership that is rarely seen. Anything that is supposed to shine, shines. The smells of the property evoke cleanliness. The Suite: Magical. What's important to call out is there's no real segregation between the "cheapest" and "most expensive" rooms. Anyone who's lucky enough to stay here will experience very much the same level of luxury, because the baseline of every suite is quite literally, luxury. The private terrace is the star of the show with sun loungers, a hot tub and outdoor shower! The Breakfast: Unreal. Creamy cappuccinos, detox water, fresh juices, homemade cakes, locally made cheeses, dairy and yogurt (life changing), fresh fruits, cold cuts, fresh bread... You will not find another breakfast like this anywhere. The Town of Praiano: Charming. Great restaurants and food scene - we tried Kasai, La Strada, and Che Bonta - all were winners. This town is quite literally built on the side of a cliff, so don't be surprised with the amount of stairs and uphill/downhill walking. Positano and Amalfi are great places to visit for the day, but if you're looking for the quiet charm of the Amalfi coast, Praiano offers it all. Overall: If I could give B&B La Barbera 10 out of 5 ☆, I would. We will DEFINITELY be back. This was the highlight of our vacation. Thank you, Team La Barbera! Chantal & Kevin.

We stayed here on a recommendation from a coworkers daughter, best decision. Clean, safe, amazing staff, breakfast is Devine, the view breathtaking, highly recommend cannot wait to return great price

I really don’t want to write this review, because I will be heartbroken if this place is ever booked up and we’re unable to stay. But Roberto, Francesco, and Sylvia deserve every star sent their way. The upshot: stop reading reviews and just stay here. It’s beautiful, the breakfast is amazing, and the service puts the rest of the hospitality industry to shame. The staff of course know all the best spots in town and know the people running them personally. If you want something, anything, they’ll pick up the phone and make it happen. I could go on and on and on, but it would all be wasted words to just further drive home the main point: this place is worth scheduling your entire vacation around. Five stars without question, for the location, the family who runs it, the food, the views, the accommodations, and absolutely everything.

Amazing place , the team really look after you one of the best hotels have ever stayed at incredible. Book direct though not through *******, issues with flights also booked through them nearly ruined the holiday and have spent hours on with chat agents to sort it out and they are no help at all.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at B&B La Barbera. The check in experience was warm and attentive. The room is spotless, very clean and fresh, with a great bed and beautiful linen. And the view. Wow, the view. Absolutely breathtaking, from the large terrace adjacent to the room, with hot tub, small table and 2 sun loungers. Sylvia and the team were very helpful with suggestions, be it restaurants in Praiano (there area lot of good restaurants), exploring the area or travelling to Amalfi, Ravello or Positano. The breakfast is also marvellous and plentiful (each guest can choose from a very wide variety of options). And my wife and I enjoyed a great aperitivo every night on our terrace. As for the location, I initially had second thoughts about choosing Praiano as a base for exploring the area, fearing it would be remote. That is absolutely not the case, and in fact it has its advantages - it is quiet, quaint, and the buses to and from Positano are less crowed (vs those travelling the Positano-Amalfi route). It was also a perfect base from which to hike the Sentiero dei Diegli (a must do if you want to do a memorable hike)
