Prado del Rey is a small village set within a fabulous landscape. The location offers easy access to many of then Andalusian attractions including Jerez, Cadiz, Seville, Ronda, Zahara, etc. The hotel is family run; whilst the brother runs the hotel, the sister runs the restaurant. Both are doing an exceptional job. The hotel has large rooms, extremely clean and staff is always ready to pleasantly surprise you (we have found fresh roses in the room every morning. The food at the restaurant is very well presented and tasty, even the locals are eating there. Strongly recommend as a base for trips, simple, relaxing and pleasant place.

Other reviews mentioned the friendly staff. Well, let me tell you, Horacio took hospitality to new heights. A warm smile and a firm handshake. Kept the dining open late even though I was the only diner. Found a tv channel with the big soccer game. THEN the bank blocked my credit card. He tried several times, but no luck. I tried to pay in cash, he says “Let’s try again at breakfast”. Offered that he hold the card, he said it’s not necessary. When was the last time you were truly trusted on the road? Here I was, some biker and a stranger to boot. Innkeepers just don’t do that. Horacio did. Warms the heart. I’ve been traveling with TripAdvisor all over the world for years, this is my first review. From Paris to Delhi to Nairobi. This man deserves a medal. Better hospitality than a room costing 20x. An Angel.

We were very pleased and impressed by this hotel. The rooms are spacious and clean with generous balconies offering beautiful mountain views. The main dining room is typically Spanish and baronial in style with huge vaulted double height ceiling where we enjoyed a simple dinner from an extensive menu. Catering predominantly for Spanish guests the staff were welcoming and helpful but spoke little English. I thought we were the only guests but became aware of a headboard banging against a nearby wall accompanied by soft feminine moans at some point in the night so sound proofing might be an issue for some. Other than that there was no other entertainment as TV channels were all Spanish.

A hotel in a quiet small village, with a nice view. Breakfast is simple and every day the same, which is coffee, orange juice, toasted bread and different paste and marmalade to cover. The rooms are equipped very simple but very clean. Interieur in the hotel and outside is a little worn out. Service personal is very nice, but can only speak Spanish. If you use this hotel only for sleeping and mainly day trips into the region the price for value is excellent. If you do expect a high and modern touristic standard, you should look for a hotel in a bigger town.

To wake up every morning and look out from this property over the mountains and valley was an absolute joy. The view of Grazalema town and the valley was just so beautiful it made you unbelievably relaxed. The accommodation was ideally suited for us, to allow travel as far as Cadiz and Seville and then late afternoon by the beautiful pool. Breakfast was good with great orange, coffee, breads, cheeses and cooked bacon. Travel 10mins from the hotel on the CA9104 to Zahara and the view at the summit is spectacular and watching the soaring Vultures is a real treat. Staff speak limited English, but hey, we were in Spain and i ignorantally speak limited Spanish! Who's fault is that? (mine!). Town is a short walk from Hotel and whether you went there for late afternoon Tapas or evening meal, it was convenient. We did not eat in the hotel in the evening as we wanted to walk out. We stayed at four venues whilst travelling in Andalucia and would definitely return to two of them, this is one of those two! Great value for what the hotel has to offer.
