Hôtel Ibis Nevers

We stopped over here en-route from the South of France to Calais. We really enjoyed our evening in Nevers, partly as it coincided with the end of a local festival - but even without, the town seems to have a lot going for it - a nice river, some good restaurants, and generally pleasant vibes. The hotel is well located, being about a 10-15min walk over the Loire Bridge from the main bits of the town centre (a nice distance we found). Parking was free and there seemed plenty - CCTV/barriers would have been nice given we had a lot in the car. The common areas of the hotel (bar/restaurant) are in good nick. The rooms are fine - they were clean, and the bathroom was good. The bed was very comfortable and the air con was appreciated in the heatwave!!!! There are quite a few areas in which the hotel feels dated - mostly the pebbledash wallpaper that is everywhere, and the fact that some doors are quite utilitarian (and no lifts for some rooms). The rooms are also small (partly because the bed is v. big!). None of this was a major issue - a bit of refurb would really improve the hotel. Breakfast though was really good - excellent continental selection and all tasted good. Value for money was good also (not much more expensive than more budget options nearby). 7/10 - but a 4 as we had a lovely evening!

Nice area and staff were super helpful, had to change rooms as my wife struggles with stairs and as we arrived early they only had upper rooms ready. Manager couldn’t be nicer and get a ground floor room cleaned and ready for us to use within 10 mins

Ibis uniforme aux autres hôtels de la chaîne. Chambre peu moderne mais confortable. Literie bonne. Petit déjeuner correct. Dommage par contre de ne pas prévenir des travaux devant l’hôtel ni d’avoir des explications préalables sur comment trouver le parking pour accéder à l’hôtel. Arrivée en plein match de rugby, le parking extérieur était pris d’assaut car non sécurisé (des gens extérieurs peuvent s’y garer) heureusement que la réceptionniste m’a donné accès au parking couvert pour avoir une place, après m’être garée assez loin et être venue à pieds pour demander de l’aide sur l’accès à l’hôtel…

Hotel très décevant pour un hotel IBIS. Chambre très exiguë. Pas d insonorisation avec la chambre voisine à cause d une porte communicante.Insecurité du parking: aucun éclairage la nuit ; accès à la réception via une succession de marches sans lumière (lampes extérieures hors service ou pas allumées) Hôtel inaccessible aux personnes à mobilité réduite. Personnel agréable. Petit déjeuner très bien.Il est regrettable qu une information préalable concernant les travaux et la route barrée pour accéder à l hôtel ne nous ait pas été communiquée pour faciliter notre arrivée. Je ne recommande pas.Une mise au standard IBIS s impose. Prix trop élevé pour cette prestation.

Sejour d'une nuit dans le cadre professionnel. Accueil sympathique et souriant. Chambre classique de cette chaîne, literie confortable et petit déjeuner buffet copieux et varié. Parking sur l'arrière de l'hôtel. Un très bon séjour à proximité du centre ville (Pont à traverser). A recommander.

Réservations de 2 nuitées. Agréable et surtout une chambre au calme que j'ai apprécié.

Arrivée après 21:30, accueil très sympa dans cet ibis au bord de la Loire. 15 minutes à pied de la gare en descente (attention au retour) Hôtel calme, literie confortable, petit déjeuner de bonne facture pour un ibis. Bien reposé tout est dit

Het hotel ligt op loopafstand van het centrum van Nevers, vlakbij de rivier Loire en de brug We hadden een goede kamer met 2 goede losse 1 pers. bedden naast elkaar De badkamer was ook in orde. De kamer was netjes en schoon. Het diner en ontbijtbuffet waren goed. Op het terras en bij de bij de bar was er gelegenheid voor koffie en drankje. Prima om als tussenstop te overnachten op reis naar het zuiden of weer naar het noorden (Belgie/Nederland). Er is geen lift in het hotel.

Tres bien recu par tout le personnel (remerciement speciaux a Brian 😉) Chambre propre, literie confortable accés et parking facile.
