Wow, Secret Bay truly exceeded our expectations. The resort is so natural and beautiful. The villas and buildings truly blend in with the nature and eco-friendly feel of the property. Everything was extremely clean and flawless. The food was outstanding-every meal we ate at the resort was delicious, unique and fit for a foodie. The craft cocktails were wonderful as well. Our Zabuco II villa Host, Martina, was very sweet, accommodating and wonderful. She made us some delicious breakfasts! Our favorite was the Salt Fish with Johnny Cakes. Jacob, with the bell staff, was also a ray of sunshine and was always so friendly and happy. We loved having the on-call concierge with the iPhone given to us during check in. That was extremely helpful and kept things stress-free. The daily morning affirmation texts were such a nice touch. The only things I would add to the room are darker shades covering the bathroom windows, some extra towel hooks or shelves and a full-length mirror. A little more guidance on the quantities/sizes in the pre-stocking amenities and guidance on how to tip for the taxis, tour guides, etc. would be helpful as well. We truly loved the setting of the resort and felt lucky looking at the gorgeous views every morning. We had so much fun seeing the birds, hummingbirds, iguanas and lizards every day. The snorkeling and access to Secret Beach was also a huge plus. Breathtaking. I could go on and on. We loved this experience! We would love to go back someday!

I cannot conceive of a more inviting and relaxing resort. It exudes tropical beauty, and exceptional privacy and comfort. My wife and I normally stay at upscale hotels and resorts that are highly regarded for their accommodations and guest services. Secret Bay, however, stands out from our other experiences. This in no small part due to its location on the Island of Dominica, and to the resort's genuinely warm and gracious Dominican staff.

Secret Bay Resort occupies two peninsulas ion the south side of the Bay at Portsmouth, Dominica. Accommodations are in individual villas which are luxuriously appointed and extremely functional. The grounds are spectacular - even at the end of the dry season, the resort was alive with birds because of the very expert planning of fruiting and flowering treas throughout the property. A host is assigned to each villa - Cletina looked after us wonderfully - breakfast at the villa, and all necessary arrangements during our stay. the concierge provided excellent coordination for the three activities that we booked.

Secret Bay is absolutely incredible! We went in with high expectations and they were met and more. The staff is so welcoming, the resort is pristine and well manicured, updated rooms, and very accomodating. At times it feels like you are the only folks at the ersort! An absolute oasis on the beautiful island of Dominica. The beach front is so serene, the lap pool is an exellent place to relax, and the food at Zing Zing is fabulous. All around an amazing stay. The highlight of our stay was we did a private cooking class in our villa with Chef Jenni! She is a wonderful chef and an all-around awesome human! She not only taught us how to cook, but made an increible meal and made us feel so welcome. Thanks again to the staff for the excellent stay. Shout out to Elena our villa host for being so excellent as well! Cheers!

My friend and I spent a week at a beautiful villa at Secret Bay. I was so impressed with the villa, it was really well done. The villa was clean, well appointed and had beautiful appliances. I found it to be quite spacious, comfortable, and very clean. The pool was well maintained and kept at the perfect temperature. The hosts and staff were great - always available when you needed them, prompt and so friendly. I cannot say enough about our stay here, it was definitely a five out of five. I am going to be recommending this place to my family and friends.

If you want to avoid big crowded resorts in the carribean and come to a place with top notch accommodations and quality service, this is the place. The rooms are big and offer amazing views. The restaurant is very good and even accommodated our request for pizza one night. You can snorkel right from the resort beach. The service is friendly and fantastic.

My former boyfriend surprised me with a secret vacation for us a Secret Bay. My stay was incredible from start to finish. Villa Tí Fey VI was tucked into the jungle with beautiful views of the Caribbean. I felt like I was vacationing in a tree house. The birds and flowers were breath taking. The private lap pool was enjoyed several times each day. The staff was wonderful and very attentive. Kayaking to the secret beach to swim and snorkel was a highlight I won’t soon forget. The only excursion off site was to ride and swim with horses… fabulous experience. My stay was made exceptional by the host, Elena! She went the extra mile every single day to make my stay stellar! I woke up each morning looking forward to her warm smile and scrumptious breakfasts. I highly recommend this magical get away…. Ask for Elena if you visit. She’s remarkable.

SUCH a beautiful place. Our stay was made 1000X better by Gillete our driver through Secret Bay. He picked us up from the airport and we fell in love with him immediately and didn't drive with anyone else the whole stay. He brought us to so many amazing local restaurants and really guided our experience. We were so lucky to have him– if you go, ask for Gillete!!!

Simple amazing in every shape and form. The villa host made the entire week absolutely worry free. Elena took great pride in everything. Her breakfasts cooked in house were some of the best I have ever eaten! Ask for the traditional salted cod breakfast and just wait for the explosion in your mouth with the first bite. It seemed that the property management has thought of ever detail imaginable for a very private, very intimate stay away. If a private and intimate tropical beach stay is what you long for, do not hesitate.
