더 워터프론트 호텔 & 비스트로(The Waterfront Seafront Hotel and Bistro)

Had a lovely time at the Waterfront. Hotel itself is clean and warm, maybe a bit dated but it’s comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Ate at the Harbour House hotel which was also very nice. For a couple of nights away we couldn’t have asked for better value.

Having used the Waterfront before, I booked with them again, but on arrival there was a notice saying they were closed, but to use The Harbour Hotel. I was not informed at the time of booking they would be closed, so, I was not impressed. When I checked into the Harbour Hotel, I was given a double room instead of a twin, as I was working away with a collegue, this was not suitable. The twin room we were given was very small and freezing cold. As the room was B&B, we did not have breakfast due to an early start, When at the Waterfront, we were given a packed lunch type breakfast, but nothing at all from The Harbour, so, not impessed, will not book again.

Stop over before catching ferry, which due too bad weather was cancelled staff went out of their way to help and find extra accommodation. Hotel is a delight ,food excellent, spotlessly clean,staff friendly very helpful.

Great location near waterfront, beautiful place to walk around and explore. Lots of free parking available. Room was nothing like the photos on the website, barely enough room to walk around the bed and other furniture, bathroom was barely functional and opened packets of shampoo were in the shower from previous guest.

Interesting and enjoyable stay. Room was a bit warm for me. Portpatrick was beautiful and brought back lots of memories of previous visits

Absolutley loved the location and the view. Gutted the windows were very dirty so we couldn't see much out of them but we loved our stay. Hickup with our food which was sorted no issue. Bathrooms tiny but had everything we needed. Bed was comfy enough, could hear the downstairs people and next doors pub pretty loudly but stopped at reasonable hour and wouldn't stop us coming again would just bring earplugs. Plenty of local walks, the locals were all friendly enough. Well worth the 5 hour drive! Will be back

Poky room riddled with cobwebs and second hand furnishings. Never seen polystyrene tiles on the ceiling of any property for a very long time. Overpriced big time! Unlikely to use ******* as the experience is telling me that the company sells only the poorest rooms in the hotels offered.

Very disappointing stay. The annex room was straight off the street and had no means of ventilation other than by the front door being left open which was impractical for the majority of the time we were staying and resulted in the room having a musty smell. The window was painted shut and the velux in the bathroom had a broken mechanism that could not be opened. It was hard to tell if there was more dirt on the inside or the outside of that window. The beds were not proper 3 foot single beds but 2 foot 6 inch beds which were not very practical for two adults. The beds were different heights as one seemed to have a problem with its springs and had no mattress protector. The bedrooms tiled floor did not appear to have been swept and two plastic tops left by a previous occupant were on the floor, nor had it been washed as the soles of my wife's white slippers were turned black. The sink in the bathroom had a large crack in it and the plug did not hold water for more than ten to fifteen seconds - not very enviromentely friendly as it constantly had to be refilled. The towel rail was falling off the wall at the slightest touch. We had to make a coffee in the room ( provided) without the benefit of a teaspoon. Breakfast was adequate but we had to reject two cereal bowls before we could find one that was clean enough to use. Our worst hotel experience for a very long time!

The staff were very friendly and welcoming, the food was great. The only problem was the bathroom, doors wouldnt close and no hot water at all, also some long dark hairs in the shower and on the floor, even tho i would recommend this hotel for great area, customer service and value for ur money. I will stay there again thx
