켐핀스키 팰리스 포르토로즈(Kempinski Palace Portoroz)

We spent 10 days at this beautifull hotel. The Grand Deluxe room with sea view was absolutely amazing. The staff was very polited. Breakfast at the Christal hall was very delicious too. The pool area was peaceful and clean. Beach area was also very nice. The only complain goes to closing the Beach area after 17.. September, as the weather was still very nice and warm. So maybe think about that for the future. All other was amazing!

Hotel architecture, location, infrastructure, breakfast selection and quality, spa facilities and services, velet parking of car, friendliness and professionality of each single staff member are all simply unsurpassed and result in a wonderful and perfect stay. That' why we keep coming again.

Visited this hotel for like 4-5 times. Unfortunately every year is going down and down. The pool is great, the building itself is really nice but it will need some maintanance. Dirty carpets, walls in the room etc. The food is bellow the average. The pool food is really bad (check pictures enclosed), same breakfast. I can remember old times here where you had nice choose of fruits, veggies and generally quality of food. Now the tomatoes are rotten, you have just basic offer of Water melon, fruit salat, pinaple. Nothing special. If you compare the food with other Kempinski hotels it is not worth it. Discovery membership is here something what does not exist. So you will have no benefits with using it compared to other Kempinski hotels where you have room upgrade (hotel had higher rate room available), late check out, local offers etc.

Kempinski is amazing as always. The building itself, amenities, kitchen - there the customer feels great. Spacious rooms with everything you need. Lovely pool. Breakfast outside - we love it in this hotel. Only the quality of the food in the restaurant can be improved. A good base for walks - even to Piran.

We stayed here for two nights on our way from Rovinj to Venice. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous with a beautiful front garden with roses, ponds, and large shady trees. The facade is gorgeous. The left side is the old historic building and the right side is the more modern glass building. We stayed in the historic side. Check-in and concierge staff were friendly and so helpful. The building inside and out is beautiful, clean, with stunning architecture. The rooms and bathroom were very large by European standards. The room was clean with nice furnishings. The bed was absolutely fantastic, like falling into a bed of cotton. Wifi worked well throughout the hotel. We didn’t eat here, so cannot say much about that. The salt water swimming pool and patio area were beautiful with an inside and outside portion. Staff here were friendly and helpful. As for location, Portoroz was built solely for tourist reasons. There is a decent beach with sand and water with a lot of sea****, at least when we were there. You can walk to a few restaurants and stores here. The walk to Piran, the historical town, is about a 50 minute walk or you can take the 1.50 Euro shuttle from the stop just to the west of the hotel. This will take you right to the city square. I walked to town and back, and it really is a pretty walk. You can jump into the sea from any of the docks and climb back up from any of the ladders. Slovenia is a gorgeous country with amazing people, still not fully-discovered by tourists. We had explored the center of the country years before, but we wanted to see the small coastline, and we were very impressed. And Kempinski was a great bite to call home base!

Fabulous hotel, expensive but,worth it. Lovely room, comfy bed with choice of pillow. Service throughout the hotel was outstanding from cleaning, to restaurant and to the great guys at the pool. I had booked a mobility scooter but had to wait two days for delivery. The concierge provided us with a wheelchair for the weekend. The breakfast was divine and available until 12 midday.

There is only one word to describe this hotel, BEAUTIFUL! It’s in a lovely seafront historic building which looks like a palace. The restaurant where we had breakfast was like a palace ballroom with such high ceilings. Rooms were well-appointed with everything you require. Ferragamo toiletries smelt great. In fact, the room smelt great too! All the staff who served us were excellent and service-oriented. The breakfast spread was extensive, even had two varieties of Sparkling wine and some Asian breakfast choices which is extremely rare for Slovenia. What impressed us most was, a week before we arrived, the hotel sent an email enquiring on our personal preferences such as still or sparkling water, any special reasons for the trip, etc. We told them it was a wedding anniversary trip and we were pleasantly surprised when we came back to our room on our second night and found a beautiful towel setting in the shape of a heart and sparkling wine. Kempinski Portoroz, you really made this a wonderful stay for my wife and I. Thank you so much and we would love to come again.

General Manager Zeljko Stasevic setting the example for all the rest of the team how genuine hospitality looks and feels like. Great breakfast that for a reason stands as one of the pillars for the Kempinski brend. Great location, great rooms and relaxing atmosphere. Recommend for couples.
