호텔 보아 - 비스타 포르토(Hotel Boa - Vista)

Lovely location in Foz for people who prefer to stay somewhere calmer than the centre of Porto. You can catch a 500 bus nearby or the tram (about 500m from hotel). The hotel is near the beachfront and overlooks a castle. The best points are the panoramic roof view out to sea, bar and pool area. There is some underground parking available. The staff were extremely helpful and even helped us get our car out of the garage. We had a large vehicle (Toyota Hilux double cab) and managed to park it in the underground car park. If you are a confident driver you can get it in. The hotel was extremely clean. Breakfast was busy but still managed to appear calm. This is a good hotel for the price in a good location. The rooms were a little hot but you can open the windows. Would we come back? Yes.

Great stay. Nice room. The gym is small but have the needed equipment. Though during the afternoon, it wasn’t possible to order any drinks in more than 1 hour. We survived, but that could be improved.

Our stay at the hotel was September 2023. At that time there was no noise due to construction. I read some reviews that noted this. We wanted to stay at the ocean and this was a great choice. The distance to town is short and a bus or trolly stop is nearby. We took the bus often which was easy. Walking along the beach we found some pavilions and one was a lively restaurant. Nestled in the rocks, beach front access, live DJ and food and drinks. There are also a handful of restaurants close to the hotel which we liked. The hotel is clean and a solid 3 star hotel. Breakfast was plentiful and self serve. The room had a nice view of the ocean.

Lovely hotel just outside of Porto at the coast, a vintage tram or the 500 bus gets you into the city it’s self so it couldn’t be better placed. Rooms were great and well cleaned. We payed a little more for a room with a a sea view and it was worth it. Would recommend, lost out on the 5 stars as the staff were adequate fell short of excellent in their friendliness and willingness to help. For example went to the bar to ask for two glasses to enjoy a port we had bought during the day, was told no despite having had a few drink in the bar before that.

Our first stay on the Camino out of Porto. Great stop after a short day from Porto. Great staff and clean room with balcony. Great rooftop bar/lounge. Right next to the Camino and plenty of Restaurants.... especially A Capoeira . Top Notch.

We loved our week at this hotel, which is just modernised enough to have every comfort you could want, and at the same time historic and full of old fashioned quirky charm/ character. Our ‘premium’ room (316) was huge and had a lovely sea view from the balcony. The beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was plentiful, constantly replenished, and again had everything you could want, including delicious fresh melon and pineapple, and pastel de natas! We loved the rooftop pool, and the terrace bar ( which serves a limited range of snacks)%. No real restaurant but we found a couple of great restaurants very close by (tip - try to drop in in the day time or day before to reserve a table). There is a little noise from aircraft overhead but otherwise, Foz is gloriously open and peaceful after the crowds and bustle of downtown Porto. We couldn’t wait to get ‘home’ to the hotel every evening!

Great location, well maintained and well run. Good breakfast included. We loved this hotel all in all.

This was a very clean and safe place to stay. The staff was helpful with arranging transportation to the airport. The only bad thing was the garage. Difficult to enter. Paul B

Hotel Boa Vista in Porto has been around for more than a hundred years but is definitely the most impressive and “new” three star hotels we have stayed at. First of all the location is perfect, near the beach and an easy bus trip to the city centre (or takes the tourist tram). The staff was very helpful although we arrived late and they could help us with almost everything. Unfortunately not with the noise from building work going on both in the hotel and in the building next door. Breakfast was really a treat, and the room comfortable. We had a pleasant stay and looking forward to coming back (when the building work is completed).
